Booked table for 4 in Bistro on Tuesday for 12 noon lunch.
Arrived 10 minutes early no problem and was shown to table overlooking the beach and Jetty. What a pearler day great weather great service and top class food. Drinks also varied and good value. Not sure which hotel some of the poor reviewers went to but it obviously wasn’t this one.
Keep up the good work. We have rebooked to return in June for a bimonthly luncheon

Lunch in Paradise

Haven’t been here for lunch for a while. But was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Had the mushroom, halloumi and homous plate and it was exceptionally good. Friends were very happy with their choices too. Add to this very friendly and polite staff and it was a great outing. Will be back soon. 

Great Food.

My family & I had brunch at the Esplanade Hotel, Brighton SA this morning. Because we were a large group of 6 adults & 5 children, I made a booking online during the week, any easy process. Our table was ready when we arrived. Our order was taken promptly. The food & drinks were came quickly considering the number of people that were there. All our meals were great. The service from all staff fantastic. They were friendly & helpful. We are happy to recommend the Espie Hotel.

Brunch at the Espie

The hotel accommodation is dated.  In saying that, my wife and I had a room with shared bathroom.  The room and bathroom were clean, everything worked and the linen was new and crisp.  Wifi was great and free.  Beds were very comfortable.  Down side was the very steep stairs to the first floor where the room was.  Shared bathroom toilet and shower cubicles were rather small.    The floors creaked.  THE BIG PLUS.  POSITION.  Next to the beach.  Free parking in a VERY Popular area.  Restaurants everywhere.  Twin beds with shared facilities, $89 for a Saturday night.  The room get you 10% off at the bistro.  Meals were excellent.  Special of the night was Surf and Turf for $42.  250 gm steak and half a good size crayfish, (Lobster).  Chips and salad.  The menu catered for all dietary needs and overlooked the beach at sunset.  I would stay there again.

Position, Position, Position

I booked online and requested a table by the window.  We were shown to our table for 4 in the corner by the window by a very friendly staff member -  just lovely.
Our meals (3 roast beef and a Thai noodle bowl with pepper and salt calamari) were great - large serves and very tasty.  Requested horseradish sauce was delivered with a smile.  We all enjoyed our meals and with a 20% seniors discount we were all very happy.  Recommended.

Nice lunch - great views

We were slightly reluctant to book due to some of the negative reviews, but we are SOOO pleased that we did! It absolutely exceed our expectations. Anyone writing negative reviews are being ridiculous considering your paying such a cheap price ! Yes, the rooms are basic, but they are clean and serviced each day with air con, wifi, nice bedding, fridge, desk / vanity and steamy shower! The location is perfect, overlooking the ocean and incredible views of the sunset. All the staff are great, hardworking and super friendly. Everything is on your door stop; beach, SUP hire, restaurants and cafes. We actually ate at the Espy's pub twice (the chicken wings are AMAAZING!), and you get fifteen percent off your food and drinks bill if you are staying at the motel. Breakfast is also great! 

Really can't recommend enough if you are looking for a great base to explore Brighton and surrounding areas.

Exceed expectations

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch in the bistro today.  Beautiful views over the ocean and Brighton jetty included a frolicking sea lion. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our steak was cooked to perfection. 
Thanks for your hospitality, we'll be back this summer for some alfresco dining too!

Fab lunch in the Espy bistro

Place is very tired And is in need of a big makeover 
Was very surprised to see the bathroom still has the 70s purple tiles and needs a paint
Food was average pub food Same as the service going through the motions only 
The area is noisy 
It does have a kids room Lots of kids running around to get to and from the room

Firstly, I should NEVER have agreed to share a room, but that was my mistake, then the hotel was fully booked which made moving to a room on my own impossible. The drama started when I arrived and simply sat on the bed.....the leg split and I was on the floor!! Retro furniture is great very nostalgic, but, it’s old and tired and used, and if the hotel doesn’t reinforce the frames these potential lawsuits from yesteryear will become your worst nightmare!! The manager Robyn and Asst Manager Erin, did all they could to make my stay of 6 nights enjoyable, and I thank them for it!! The location, the food & drinks, the cleanliness and neighbourhood are all top notch! Be warned though......there is no elevator, something which needs to be sorted ASAP!! In fact upstairs is under utilised , and needs a desperate make over, especially in the plumbing and cooling areas,  and to make full use of the sunsets!! All in all, great location, great food, motel quality accommodation and no lift!!! 

The joy of Retro decor!!

The staff were quite helpful, BUT management have changed the ordering system so you now are Forced to use their app.
This does not allow for payment using Wish gift cards via the app, but can be used at the counter.
Therefore unable to access Specials if you wish to pay using Cash or gift cards.
Very poor decision making by management.
