In a modern bungalow set up on a hill looking down over dusty paddocks, there's comfort to be had with a nicely set up interior including good quality furniture and over 100 DVDs to choose from.There's also  pleasure to be had in interacting with the minature donkeys on the property and viewing kangaroos in the distance at dusk. A country experience just 10 minutes from town.

Hee haw house

Set in a breathtaking bush setting our little cottage was pristine. So clean and impeccable.  Lots of personal touches and an array of hot drink sachets to suit the whole family. Cereal, bread, jams etc. - everything we needed for a lovely breakfast.  The donkeys were the main highlight - all with their gorgeous different personalities.  Our host Marianne - who is an absolutely lovely lady graciously showed us the donkeys on her private property.  We spent so much time with her explaining about the donkeys and the breeding program along with all the funny things each donkey does differently.  We left feeling warm and happy. It truly was one of the best experiences we have had - especially as one of us is a little hesitant around horses - donkeys are so beautiful!  I thoroughly recommend this as a really magical holiday.  Thank you Marianne being such a friendly human being - you showed us how therapeutic your gorgeous donkeys are.

Memories of a magical holiday.

Our family stayed at donkey tales farm cottages over Easter 2019 and we highly recommend it. The accomodation was spotless clean, super comfy and the kitchen was well equipped. The outside Bbq worked well too. The hosts are just the loveliest people ever and provided the perfect balance between making us feel welcome and giving us space and freedom to feel like the place really was ours for the four days and nights! The donkeys are lovely, and so gentle. I had two small children fall completely in love with one of them! There were only three donkeys on the property we stayed at but many more which we could visit at the hosts farm nearby. The location itself is near perfect, being so easily accessible from the main road, only minutes away from Maryborough which has just about anything you could need, and so much land to walk around and just sit and relax! 
Our stay was capped off with a gold detecting adventure which was the cream on top of a wonderful break away from life! 
Thank you Marianne and Peter, you have created a unique and beautiful oasis that we look forward to visiting again sometime.

Ideal family getaway

Something a little different in this accommodation is set on a small Donkey Farm.
Miniature Donkeys in fact.
Rural setting only minutes from Maryborough.
Well appointed two bedroom cabin.
Fully renovated inside with modern and new  everything. Immaculately clean and tidy. Great water pressure in new bathroom. Even a log gas fire.
Washing machine as well.
Great peaceful environment.
Donkeys are vocal on seeing you ( They love a pat ) Then quiet done to leave you in peace.
There is also a second one bedroom cabin on site.
Car port for your car and also a BBQ area and under cover sitting area out back.
Wonderful, professional and very friendly 
Hosts.
Highly recommend for a great get away that feels like in the middle of nowhere but close to shopping and plenty to see and do if desired.
Would stay here again and again.

Great Place for a Stay

What can I say this place has everything  you need 
Close enough to Maryborough Victoria to shop near to various tourist attractions 
Marianne & Pete the owners  are lovely and welcoming 
Try it you will love it 😊

Excellent  place for a total chill out 

We stayed with kids and grandparents and took both Simpson and Duffy cottages.  The cottages are adequate - comfortable and warm but not everything works!  That said, it was great value for money and we didn’t expect 5 star accommodation.  What was 5 star was the experience of interacting with the donkeys, who were gorgeous!  Our kids loved cooking a bacon and egg breakfast on the outside bbq and enjoying their meal while watching the donkeys have their hay in the paddock 10 metres away.  Hosts Marianne and Peter were fabulous, letting us catch yabbies in their dam and showing us the newborn baby donkeys at their farm across the road.  Remember to take a few carrots or apples to feed the donkeys by hand.
