Don't expect a 5 star overnight stay, don't think this was the idea behind this. Hospitality we received from Doug and Jan was fantastic. Cabin we stayed at was in reasonable condition and for an overnight stay you really can't complain. If you are planning to visit the farm in winter would recommend people to take your own portable heater. I would also recommend to take your own blankets/pillows and bedsheets as well. 
We went there for the experience and we were very pleased with the tour we received as soon as we got there late afternoon and again in the morning. You truly have to appreciate the hard work Farmer Doug and his family are putting into running this farm.
There were variety of animals, Cowes, Sheep, Goats, Donkeys, chickens, ducks and horses. We were able to feed the animals, collect eggs from the barn, bottle-feed the new born lambs and little one was able to go for a ride on a donkey as well. 
We had a great time and will be going back there again for sure.

Best Farm Experience 

The children had a wonderful time and are already asking to go back in the July school holidays. The wonderful variety of animals fascinated them, helped by the fact that almost every animal was calm, people-friendly and very approachable. One sheep, Lindsay, follows children around like a dog :-) Most animals can be handfed and cuddled and it warmed our hearts to see the joy that the children received from this exposure. One thing though....our cabin was comfortable enough but the dust under the beds was unnecessary and the op shop assortment of cups, plates and bowls was very off-putting! At least 10 unmatched dinner plates, 6 bowls, 15 mugs and cups,for a cabin that sleeps four! What does a Target dinner set for 4 cost? $30? And less in other places? A matching set and 6 matching glasses would have been nice at the price we paid. And rearrange the rooms layout.....The children sleeping in the living area does not work. I hope Jan and Doug read this and act on my comments as I do not mean to be nasty.
But the children loved the visit and I know that is why we went. If you can turn a blind eye to the above lack of "class" everyone has a super time and I would recommend Doro, only a little more than one hour for. Melbourne, to city-dwelling children and their parents.

Great Farm Stay

I've been going to this farm since my boys where six & seven.From the first time we went there we found the place  & the people that own/run the farm real down to earth people.my boys are now nineteen & twenty.We first went for the experience of the farm stay .My boys loved feeding the donkeys cows goats & sheep.Now we just like the place to get away from it all .We go fishing at Torque, Go out to dinner at the Valley inn Hotel..Great place to just kick back & take in the fresh air.& chill out.

Been going there for years,

My good friend organised her sons 5th birthday here today!! and had to leave as soon as we got there.. the place was dirty. She could not even unpack the food as you she didn't even want to sit the kids down to eat. Very disappointing. Unless they clean the place up we will not be returning.
