Kind hospitality, good equipment, outside and inside. You can't be bored for a minute, not even with small children. Lovely pets, fresh eggs every day!!! I Would go back here in a heartbeat despite the distance of 14000 km. We’re happy to spend a few days at a brilliant and beautiful place in BCL  Tibor,Budapest/Hungary/Europe

An excellent place for relaxation and excursions

Five related families (10 adults and 10 children) spent Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon having a tremendous time at the lodge celebrating a 60th birthday. 
Facilities are excellent (6 ensuite bedrooms) with a big, well equipped kitchen, plenty of fridge space and spacious lounge area with a very efficient wood fireplace. 
Owner Mike gave us a comprehensive briefing on arrival so everything went smoothly. 
We paid a quite reasonable extra fee for a 4pm checkout on the Sunday. This is highly recommended as no one wanted to leave at 10am.
The kids enjoyed feeding and patting the farm animals, collecting eggs and bushwalking. The large heated spa was a hit too. The adults just chilled out.
The Saturday market just down the road is not large, but has high quality produce and is a chance to support the locals.
Open Hearth catered for the Saturday dinner. Sensational food with comprehensive heating instructions. Enough for seconds all round for Sunday lunch.  
The included cook your own breakfasts were great - cereals, bacon, eggs, sausages, pancake mix, milk, bread jams etc.
All in all a really great weekend escape.

Fabulous weekend escape/celebration.

Only one hour twenty minutes from Sydney, this retreat is absolutely ideal for the extended family. It can sleep up to twenty, with comfortable rooms and fully equipped kitchen.
Best of all the kids are catered for. Little ones will love the playground and the farm animals. I’ve never been partial to goats but these ones were endearing. So we’re the alpaca and Shetland pony.
Big kids might like the trampoline or basketball hoop (indoor).
Parents would like the bush land walks, bird life and tall trees which surround the farmhouse, chicken coop and dam.
After a weekend away with family you’re refreshed but wishing you could stay all week.

Ideal for Whole Family Get Together

Had a fantastic time, lovely and well equipped house and beautifully maintained garden, spacious bedrooms and bathrooms very clean and tidy. Kids had a ball with all the equipment and activities like kayaking, feeding animals, collecting eggs, playing soccer and cricket in the garden or having a go on the huge indoor trampoline and basketball court and and and.. . We’ll definitely come back!

Serenity in the mountains.

Super well-equipped kitchen (byo food for lunch or dinner, massive breakfast provided)
Basketball ring, pool table and even a trampoline for the kids or big kids.

The spa/pool has a great outlook and is easily accessible. For those wanting a bit more space, venture further into the property to use the idyllic 'swimming hole' / dam. Say hi to the alpacca and Shetland pony as you walk past.

Thanks Bilpin Lodge for a great 24hour getaway.
Recharged the batteries ready for the chaos ahead of me.

Beautiful Bilpin

Very nice and quiet house in the countryside with ample spaces for the kids to expend their energy. Room that I was staying put was big and comfortable with bunk bed for the kids which they loved. The lodge provides entertainment in the form of TV and radio with a garage with trampoline and basketball. There's also a self serve laundry if you want to do some washing. Outdoors, there's a chook where you can feed the chickens as well as animals that you can feed them hay. There's also a kids playground, pond for canoeing and another one where you can catch done yabby. The owner, Mike, was there on our first day to introduce the place to us as well as guided us through on feeding the animals. The kids loved it.

Nice, clean and quiet

Great place for a family holiday. We had 2 families with 3 generations and our dogs. There are so much to do at the farm for everyone, kids loved canoeing 🛶 , feeding the animals and jumping on the trampoline. Spa is super big and warm, perfect for toddler swimming. 
The cottage is very clean and tidy, nice lounge area with wood fire. All the rooms have bush view and very quiet, so picturesque and serene, and only an hour and half away from Sydney.
Would definitely recommend for family with kids! 

Mike the owner was very friendly and responsive with all the queries and information. We left our chrome cast at the house, he even offered to post it to us. Thanks Mike for letting us stay at your lovely cottage.

Great family stay with plenty to do for kids and adults.

A belated review on our stay in November last year. We chose the lodge based on recommendations by ellalist. Finding the place was abit difficult as there was a name change which we were not aware of. Once we went through the main gate we arrived at a beautiful lodge. The owners were away when we were there but our room key was waiting and another hotel guest guided us through. Breakfast was provided we just had to cook the bacon and eggs, but all kitchen equipment was provided. The lodge was super clean and well kept despite being in the middle of the woods. There are plenty to do here for kids such as feeding the farm animals, canoeing, yabby catching, hiking, trampoline, playground.... Amazing. The weather was abit chilly so we did not spend alot of time outdoors apart from our self cook BBQ from supply we bought at Woolworths. The lodge is a great relaxing place with beautiful grounds... even pets are allocated a space to stay outdoors. We hope to be back to Bilpin again!

A Wonderful Spring stay

A very nice lodge with our family stayed in two rooms, we shopped in north Richmond with foods materials and beverages before checking in the lodge. It is a bit out of main road with detours to the main gate that a bit not easy to spot, if you follow the direct path it lead you to the owner unit, they will show you the gate before the owner unit. Big compound that children would enjoy it and lots of colorful parrots, and farm animal for a bit of farm stay experience, very nice kitchen area for preparing of meals. We checked out and returned to Sydney by visiting katoomba. Thank you with regards.

Family Gathering Stay

We stayed here for 3 nights right after New years and had the house exclusively.

There were 6 adults and 7 kids (ages 1.5 to 16). 

Plenty of beds to accommodate, loved the ensuite in each room, self serve breakfast (with cereals, bacon, sausages and fresh farm eggs daily), play ground, kayaking in lake, yabbying and indoor trampoline for the little kids and a pool table and table tennis for the big kids. There was even a little jacuzzi for the kiddies to splash around in.

Everyone was catered for and everyone was happy!

Room and house was clean and owner Mike was very friendly. The animals looked happy and the kids thoroughly enjoyed their daily responsibility of feeding them.

Kids have already asked to return again!
