Wonderful stay in a charming B&B. Fantastic breakfast - including everything we could possibly want. Such a comfortable bed complete with heated blankets for colder nights. Everything within walking distance.

Gorgeous stay in charming Tilba

We had a very comfortable stay in the Postmaster's Room (the ground floor room);  the bed was extremely comfortable and the breakfast next morning was ample. The Sweetwater directly across the street is excellent for meals and the Sunday market is nearby. Recommended.


Loved it 

It was a last minute decision to book into this B&B and we were not disappointed! Our request for twin accomodation was quickly catered for ( via a hastily blown up airbed). I also had forgotten to mention my Gluten Intolerance and that was no problem at all.

The accomodation was in the downstairs room which was originally the old post office. It was beautifully renovated and spacious. We had access to the lounge room and kitchen right by our room. The kitchen was generously equipped with tea, coffee and breakfast supplies. 

The hosts were very friendly and accommodating and I would have no hesitation in recommending this B&B to anyone visiting Central Tilba. I’ll be back!

Wonderful experience in Central Tilba

From the minute we walked into The B and B we were met with a warm and friendly welcome .We were shown to the kitchen were breakfast self service was explained ,then taken to our room the host couldn’t have been more welcoming or helpful. The building itself was everything we had hoped for we had been to Tilba before and was mesmerised by its heritage and charm .Our room was just as we wanted almost a step back in time which matched the rest of the stunning old building , Tilba is a piece of History with friendly locals in the Drom which serves up great food . We thought the whole experience was brilliant . Travel with an open mind take the town for what is and enjoy the quirkiness of it all

Piece of History

Fantastic nights stay in Central Tilba. Spotless, comfortable , spacious, well equipped - and full of character! Beautiful views , quiet and loved our delicious breakfast out on the balcony in the sunshine , looking up the Main Street . Definitely going back again. Thank you !

Night away

First time stay at a B&B in country Australia for our teenagers who were skeptical at first but fell in-love with this divine slice of history.
We have two older teens and Claire quickly provided an extra bed for them the queen room so they wouldn't have to share a bed - nice touch.
Claire welcomed us way past check-in with a smile and couldn't help but purchase a CHEESE LIFE t-shirt. Tilba cheeses for breakfast was a nice touch - some local preserves would've been even better!

There are 3 rooms - 2 upstairs and 1 downstairs. We stayed upstairs, where there were 2 bathrooms, one with en suite. The en suite bedroom (Valley View) had a double bed, the other a queen (Dame Zara). If you have older children, I'd recommend calling ahead to get a blow up mattress.

Charming, quaint and right at home

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tilba. We had a two night visit in the upstairs Dame Zara room. The room was beautifully appointed with a gorgeous window view looking across and over Tilba valley and Najanuga (Little Dromedary). There is a good sized bathroom just outside the room which is for the use of Dame Zara guests.
The downstairs kichten and breakfast was perfect and very much appreciated.
The balcony overlooks the quaint village of central Tilba with its bustling street of a weekend.
If you love and enjoy walks and views Tilba has it all.

Everything Central Tilba at your doorstep.

Period styled room with both rural and town views made us feel at home. Breakfast was bountiful and delicious. Local pub made for a fun night followed by a drink at the funky bar across the road. Our hostess was so welcoming and helpful. Fabulous but too short stay.

Character accommodation, comfortable, welcoming, central to Tilba.

We loved our stay here, charming little room and lots of nice touches throughout the property. Comfortable room with a tiny bathroom that could be confronting for some as shutting the door was not really an option but that didn’t worry us at all! The outlook was beautiful, a view right across the valley from our room. Tilba itself is a little gem and the new bar, Sweetwater is right across the road
