Great location, the hostel itself was very clean - in particular the bathrooms were the tidiest I've come across when staying at multiple hostels across the east coast. The views from the hostel are unreal, with a roof terrace that has views of the harbour bridge

Clean and tidy hostel with great views

I stayed in Nate’s for 2 weeks and it was the best hostel I’ve ever been. It’s super central in the city to kings cross and the vibe is unforgettable. The staff is really nice and helpful! Beds are very comfi and i never have seen such a clean hostel as Nate‘s.  The vibe is cool as it feels like a big family in the hostel, and they have daily events as well!!!
 I definitely come back here when I’m in Sydney and enjoy the time on the roof where you can see the harbour bridge as well. 
Highly recommend to everybody who‘s on Sydney!! 

Love this hostel

This is the perfect hostel if you’re looking for somewhere clean and quiet for a chilled stay. I stayed in an 8 bed female dorm and everyone was relatively quiet and the beds were very comfortable. The facilities were very clean and the whole of the first floor is just toilets and showers so there was never any waiting to use either. The kitchen was a little small but this didn’t bother us. The rooftop was lovely and gave a great view, good place to eat meals as the inside common area was always busy. We didn’t find this hostel very social as lots of others there only spoke French, German and Spanish but had we done so I think we would have been able to socialise more- there were events each day but we didn’t join in. Overall great place and would stay again.

Great place

I spent 2 weeks there when arriving in Sydney. The home is very nice and warm. Many different nationalities of backpackers, which is very nice. Possibility to go to party every night in a different place. Hostel near full of commerce and restaurants. The rooms are larger or smaller and overlook the street which can be a bit noisy at night but not unbearable. A big enough kitchen if everyone is not there at the same time. The cleaning is done daily. A very nice rooftop especially on Friday when it's BBQ. I loved this hostel with its good atmosphere and friendliness. Go without fear.

Good atmosphere and very affordable

Good place to crash for a few days when traveling on budget. It’s more of a party hostel so if you hate parties this isn’t the place for you ;) 
It can be noisy at night so be prepared for not much sleep as well. 


Good budget hostel 

Firstly I’d like to say I understand that they want to keep the floor clear but recently the cleaners have been coming in to our rooms and unnecessarily and happily throwing our stuff in a plastic bag. I think they enjoy annoying us. Everyone’s stuff just gets mixed up and they don’t handle it carefully, people stuff just goes “missing” it’s ridiculous and not fair. Another stupid rule is that your not allowed anything on top of the locker, not even a bottle of water. My tooth brush and tooth paste got mixed in a bin bag with dirty shoes, t-shirts and a mix of items. It’s like the cleaners and the managers of the hostel have no common sense or respect for anyone, let me just remind you we’re paying customers!!!!!! Something needs to change!!!!!! THIS IS FOR YOU ANNA!!!! Only four hobs working in the kitchen, now that’s stupid. The kitchen gets rammed by people around 5-7 and people have to wait up to an hour to use a hob!! The kitchen is small anyway and having only half of the hobs functioning is outrageous!!!!!!!! It’s been near to a month and there’s still been no change!!! Something needs to happen, change is needed!!!

Cleaners throwing our belongings away! ONLY FOUR HOBS WORKING!! 100+ Backpackers!!!! Ridiculous!!

me and my friend stayed here for a week in Feb, we stayed in a four bed female dorm but luckily it was just us two for the majority of the time. The place is very cheap for the week so perfect if youre on a budget. The female staff arent the friendliest but I understand most staff here are just backpackers who work for free rent or whatever. The toilets and showers are average, could do with a good polish.
It says breakfast included but its just toast with very cheap butter and some tea/coffee.
There is a tv room that open 24/7 but its very dark. 
the rooms are small sized and it was BOILING, could do with some air con throughout. The lockers are decent sized. 
in terms of location, it opposite an iirsh bar which is perfect for nights out and meeting people, its a short walk from loads of shops, places to eat and the metro.

cheap, good for budget travellers, good location

They keep the rooms very clean, but by doing this you aren’t allowed to store stuff on top of your lockers or next to them. You are made to ram everything into your locker. Wasn’t even allowed to hang a $500 suit up. Staff are extremely rude when telling you to put everything in your lockers. We’re paying guests, if it’s not bothering anyone else staying in the room then it shouldn’t be a problem. Its a joke!

Like being at a boarding school

I stayed here for 3 days and within this time the cleaners took my clothes and shoes that weren’t in my locker or stuffed under the bed and put them into a bag and left in a garage. I then had to go rummaging through bin bags to find my items (some of which were very expensive and valuable to me!).  My shoes were neatly on the floor next to my bed and t-shirts were neatly hung over my bed, however were took anyway. I find this incredibly ridiculous and frustrating that the hostels policy is to practically steal your items that are deemed untidy. Even now I have items that I can’t find that I assume have been lost this way. Apart from this the hostel was lovely with nice amenities, tv room and good vibes. Everyone was lovely and the hostel organised various social events to meet people. Really enjoyed the location however the cleaners taking my things really was a huge downer and would discourage me from stay here in future.

Stayed for a week in March with two friends.
Room was unbearably hot with no AC so no one got a good nights sleep, the kitchen was really small (a cockroach actually crawled over the table while we were sitting at it one night) & the girl behind the reception was really snide and rude to us!
Only good thing was it was a short walk to the main attractions.
