It is hard to fully describe how much Little River means to three families who have been holidaying there every April for the past seven years and will be returning again  next year. Our children used to enjoy having so much freedom to explore the property, its bushland  and Little River. while we all love the quiet location with easy access to Denmark, bushwalks, swimming at Green's Pool and fishing at Parry's Beach.  Now the children are adults and their interests have changed they still enjoy our holidays there  and the tradition continues. Paddy and Anna continue to do a wonderful job in keeping the cottages very well equipped, immaculately clean and in excellent repair after undertaking major and much-needed improvements when they bought the property three years ago.

A very special place for three families

The chalets were amazing and Paddy and Anna are incredible hosts with lots of local knowledge on activities and things to do in the area, whether you want to go out for a family day trip or get in a few glasses at the local wineries.

The farm is supremely charming and is an ideal getaway, I'm only sorry we were there for a few days and not a week.

Will definitely make a point of going back!

A great family destination

Well kept clean cottages in a fantastic location. The kids loved exploring the farm, the sheep are so tame and would come up for pats, the alpacas are comically cute and the creek crossing  which was flowing even in summer was a real novelty. The king beds are cosy and comfy, the 2 bed 2 bath setup was perfect with one bathroom being huge enough to have the whole family in there at the same time. The kitchen is well equipped (even the knives are sharp!) and it was fun to show the kids what dvds looked like!  We will be return customers for sure!

Another wonderful week at our favourite WA farmstay. Despite familiarity after so many annual April holidays at Little River, the place and the whole regional experience never ceases to charm and entertain us. On our final night to assuage the sadness of impending departure we start working at our dates for next year's stay.
Anna and Paddy continue to maintain the highest standards at Little River that they set  after a big program of refurbishment and contents replacement upon their acquisition of the  property more than two years ago. When we opened the door of our cottage on  arrival it smelt and looked so fresh and clean - right down to the very shiny saucepans -  with the fireplace set and ready to light. We look forward to returning after Easter 2024 and hopefully in years to come.  

Our favourite WA farmstay

Great stay at Little River Farm Cottages. Peaceful location In beautiful bush,  lots of wonderful birds all around the grounds.  The cottage had two bathrooms, king size bed, beautiful clean linen, wood fire. You couldn’t ask for a cleaner, nicer place for a self catering holiday. Hosts Anna and Paddy were welcoming and friendly. We had a great time exploring the Denmark area, there is so much to do. 

Fabulous Break

Our recent family holiday at Little River Farm chalets was more than we had hoped for - a beautiful rural setting, conveniently located just out of town, close to all the tourist attractions and the famous Green Pool beach turnoff. The chalet was spacious, spotlessly clean and well appointed for our family needs (including self contained kitchen and the treat of King sized beds & quality linen!). We loved waking up to the sound of sheep & birds each morning, and taking bush walks around the property, spotting wildlife and farm animals (the 4week old baby alpaca, Gerry, was delightful). We took the opportunity to read books, play board games and go ‘device free’ as possible - the surroundings really helped us achieve that. The new owners, Paddy & Anna, have done an amazing job of transforming Little River Farm chalets - thank you, we had a wonderful holiday experience.

Peaceful rural setting

We had a fabulous stay at Little River Farm! It is such a charming place, both in terms of the location and the cottage itself. The cottage was super clean, so we didn’t have to worry about our 2-year old and newborn baby roaming around. I also appreciated that everything (eg the pots and pans) is good quality, rather than the crappy stuff you so often find in self contained cottages. The hosts also added several thoughtful touches to make us feel at home (eg the fireplace was already set up, so all we needed to do is light a match, which was perfect for big city people like us 😂). Our 2 year old loved exploring the property, following the sheep and feeding the alpacas. 
Overall a fabulous stay!! Highly recommend .

Family fun

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend's stay at the Shadforth Cottage.  It was roomy, spotlessly clean and had everything we could possibly need.  We were very impressed that the cottage was wheelchair friendly.  The farm is peaceful and beautiful, home to endearing sheep and alpacas.  Anna and Paddy are exceptional hosts - very accommodating and efficient.

Comfortable and welcoming

We've lost count of the number of times we've stayed at this property - it's about eight times - and we'll be back again next year. The location right in the country,  but only a very short drive to Denmark, surrounded by forest, creeks and prolific birdlife, with great views across to Mt Hallowell, just cannot be beaten. Paddy and Anna have done a wonderful job in their improvements to the cottages which we (and two other families) really appreciated.

The perfect place for an enjoyable relaxing, family farm holiday.

The new owners Paddy and Anna were so welcoming and made our 5 night stay a wonderful memorable experience.  Our spotless 3 bedroom chalet had 2 bathrooms,  a fully equiped kitchen and a wonderful veranda to sit and watch the birdlife and nature.  Surrounded by bushland with open paddocks for the roaming sheep.  Each afternoon we fed the alpacas.  The kids played in the creek and experienced fun at its best.  There's a communal covered bbq which we didn't have the opportunity to use.  There's no TV reception but the kids didn't even miss that.  Only hitch was as Vodafone customers there was no mobile reception but that's a Vodafone flaw.  The rest of our group were Telstra so we could still keep in touch with the outside world if we wanted.  There's a wood fire for winter retreats.   Would highly recommend a stay.  Close to lots of restaurants, wineries, beaches and scenic drives
