I honestly can't say enough about this beautiful property, we loved everything from the romantic gardens to the literally anything you could need during your stay, even our 5yr old daughter didn't want to leave!! Can't wait to go back!

Beautifully romantic and family friendly

An 1880's 3 bedroom cottage that is beautifully restored to maintain the charm of this period as well as incorporating all the modern amenities that we are accustomed too. The house was tastefully decorated and the moment you opened the front door you could tell that the owners take pride in offering an experience from an age long past. This property is most deserving of it's 9.8 score , it is well presented, spotlessly clean and the owners have thought of almost everything to make your stay a memorable one. Sometimes it just the little things that leave a lasting memory, the little instructional notes everywhere, the chocolates and biscuits, the bottle of white wine in the fridge, the well stocked cupboards, the fresh bread, jams, the list goes on and on. Congratulations to the owners in presenting a property of such a high standard in what has been a very difficult 12 months.

A beautiful and charming experience that well deserves it's high rating

The studio was the most charming place to stay. The owners have thought of every little consideration for the occupier. Excellent range of teas and coffees. No skimping with the milk and juice. An array of possibilities for brecky. Magazines, DVD's, fire set and ready for your comfort. Comfort plus in a delightful setting. Simple pleasure without being pretentious. Enjoy.

Delightful retreat

We stayed at Birch studio at the rear of Birch House. It sits in a beautifully maintained garden setting and is immaculately clean. An easy walk in to town or take one of the bikes provided from the shed. There is a microwave and mini stove, toaster, coffee pod machine and plenty, nay copious amounts of the usual supplies (tea, coffee, jam marmalade, Vegemite, etc) but even things like baked beans and spaghetti in the cupboards to say nothing of the bowl of chocolates and bottle of red wine!! The owners were really nice when booking and when we met them on site. Although not huge, the studio is comfortable, well appointed and great value.

In a word, if you’ve got a large brood, the Best. Everything you need, backyard for the kids, bay window seats to look out on them, wood fire, fire wood provided, great kitchen, lounge and so many thoughtful little touches, dvds, books and games, the list goes on. 

Koroit is chilled and has the IGA, pubs and restaurants so flip Warrnambool for this beautiful abode and enjoy the charm of Birch House. 

Don’t forget to visit Tower Hill as well. Stunning views and peacefulness personified. 

A big “bock bock” to the country chicken motif as well.

The Best accomodation for a family getaway

Best accommodation ever. Very well presented, clean and all the things needed for a great getaway. Bikes available and close to some very cool sightseeing. The grounds are beautiful. The little extras like a bottle of wine and milk and coffee were awesome.

Best ever

Stayed here for 3 nights with friends from SA in Birch House. This turned out to be a lot better than any of us expected. There are two bedrooms at the front of the house both similar size and both with a queen size comfortable bed. There is another bedroom with two single bed. The whole place is nicely furnished and is truly a home from home. Cosy lounge with log fire, large kitchen with another log burning fire, bathroom, laundry, toilet and bathroom. The next surprise was the quality provisions, tea (better selection than you get in hotels!), coffee pod machine, breakfast cereal .......and the wine and the chocolates. Nice quiet street, just of the main street and not far from Port Fairy and Warrnambool. Thank you for letting us use your cottage I am sure we will be back.

Nice Surprise

A beautifully appointed cottage with everything thought of and more. So peaceful, with a beautiful cottage garden to wander about in. Thank you so much to the owners for their assistance and generosity. Superb location with many local highlights and of course the beach so close. Will be back.
