We stayed a night here to celebrate a birthday. 
Jan was so helpful and friendly. 
Her home is amazing.  Well furnished and very comfortable. 
We got a ride share into Leederville for dinner... about $7.
Beautiful verandah for breakfast. 
Jan accommodated our gluten free needs with a delicious cereal for breakfast. 
I'm definitely going back.

Beautiful home

Wow! What a fantastic place. It was our 2nd time there and we will surely come back. Jan and Steve (and Charlie the dog!) are really wonderful hosts. A charming house full of lovely little details everywhere, with immaculate rooms and bathroom. Nearby an excellent (and beautiful!) coffee shop (5 minute walk) and close to Oxford street (15 minute walk) with lots of restaurants. 20 minutes from the airport by car. The perfect B&B :-)

Fabulous stay with the best hosts ever!

We stayed for three nights, and really enjoyed the intimacy of staying here.  The accommodation itself has two bedrooms, with a dedicated seating area, but you effectively have the run of the downstairs level of the house, so it's really comfortable and homely.  Bed was very comfortable, the only drawback was the shared bathroom, which we were not entirely prepared for, but it still all good.  Lovely backyard, super friendly and nice owners, friendly little white dog (although he can get a bit upset when his mum and dad are out!).

Wonderful place to stay

Wonderful accommodation run by the friendliest couple you could hope for. Nothing was too much trouble and they were particularly helpful with our homeward travel arrangements back to England. Can recommend to any travellers.

Lakeside B & B

We loved Perth and we loved this place. 
The house sits close to the lake where we went for a morning walk. We felt very comfortable and even got a downcharge of the costs, because our host had to 
leave 1 day before we left. (nearly alone in the house).
Everything was very relaxed (by the way so different to Germany).
Despite you have to share the bath with two other guests, this is really no problem .
We can recommend this B&B.

Very nice

After a long haul flight from Europe, it was wonderful to rest in this beautiful home.  Jan is a great host, welcoming and attentive.  Room was beautiful.  As a single traveller, I appreciated the convenience of the location - close to cafes etc and the beautiful lake with black swans and great walks.  I'll be back!

Hospitality, Comfort and Convenience

That's what it should be called , a room for rent with free bowl of cereal for breakfast . I gave it 3 stars because the bed was very comfortable . It is in a very nice location also . The downside is that the toilets and shower are shared , the outdoor furniture is in very bad shape , even dangerous . and the most disappointing was the breakfast . Just deceiving advertising breakfast and it is 3 types of serial and a half empty bottle of milk . I was the only guest at this time and felt uncomfortable with 3 of the occupants in the main area most of the evening and very little interaction between me and them . I kind of felt like I was intruding .

room for rent

I booked this quaint looking b&b for one night as I was passing through Perth heading north but hate to stay in sterile hotels.  I also don't ever post reviews but felt the need on this occasion and this is my first for Tripadvisor.  I found this b&b after searching online and was delighted by the photos I saw.  I only wish I had read recent reviews before embarking on my stay.  It wasn't so much the grubby room that got me but the pubic hair I found in the bed and under the pillow which was not mine!  I honestly don't think the bedding had been changed from the previous occupant(s).  It has made me think twice about booking this sort of establishment in future, although I have to say it is the first time I have come across this sort of thing.

Surprised

Booked this place 10 months before visit to Australia after seeing photos on website and being promised ‘relax in luxury’.  Luxury it was not.  We booked for 10 nights.  Found out very late in the day you shared a bathroom with everyone else.  This is a heritage property so very old and quaint but that shouldn’t preclude the owners from cleaning the rooms!  We first noticed about 7 years worth of dust on the window shutters, fireplace, picture above fireplace, skirting boards and around furniture.  The rug had 7 years of people’s hair matted into it 🤢.  Cobwebs in various places.  You then start to question cleanliness of bed under sheets but we were tired so we went to bed.  Then two Huntsman spiders appeared from behind the bed.  That was it we spent until 1am searching for alternative  accommodation.  When I mentioned I wasn’t happy with cleanliness of room the reply was “if you do t want to stay here you don’t have to”!  We paid for the 1 night then hightailed it out of there to a lovely clean hotel for our remaining 9 nights .
