Great service from the staff, from when I arrived, on a reasonably busy night. The room was clean and comfortable, with cool art and 12ft ceilings. The Local has heaps of character, and has continuous good vibes in a great neighbourhood. Enjoyed the fish and chips in the restaurant with family.

Piece of local history that still lives!

We could only stay one night at the Local Hotel as had a plane to catch - we would happily have stayed longer. Our room was at the front with the three windows overlooking the street - the views and light were fantastic. The room was attractive and comfortable. The shared 'facilities' were clean and plentiful and you're supplied with bathrobes and slippers so we found this no problem. All staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed the walk from South Fremantle to the Cappuccino Strip. Would recommend staying here.

Attractive hotel with friendly staff

4th time stay and never dissapointed. Stayed in the corner room (room 1) and it was lovely. All the rooms are great so far. Clean shared bathroom. Bars downstairs are welcoming and so are the staff. Free parking on site is so handy. Short walk to the beach for a swim and you can bar hop on walk back to hotel 😁 Such a nice vibe


Great Stay - Again

We had a great time staying at the Local Hotel with our guests. The facilities were great and everyone enjoyed themselves. We especially liked all the different rooms, all rooms were very comfy to stay in. Would definitely recommend booking for large groups.

Wedding party stay

I live in the southwest retired on the coast, I regularly travel to Perth, and I enjoy the Fremantle area. 
The Local Hotel is exactly what look for accommodation, food, drinks and entertaining atmosphere. Great menus, a wide choice of wine and beer on offer, excellent service and the accommodation.... value !

There a a few lovely hotels, however, the Local Hotel offers plenty, one of the great values to this hotel, are the staff.  Any business can only be successful if they employ the right staff. The Local does this well. 

My accommodation requirements default to The Local, my only challenge is securing rooms, it is often fully booked, perhaps it's because it is so popular, I understand that.

This hotel is well located within the  entertainment precinct of South Fremantle . I look forward to my next stay.

The Local offers a good travel and entertainment experience

We visited from north Qld and liked the look of the pub and menu. The atmosphere is great with several different eating areas. The dinner menu selection is excellent, with generous serving of food that is great value for money. Lamb rump for two thoroughly recommended. A special shout out to Chad who went well above and beyond on Thursday evening, with his excellent customer service skills across bar service, table waiting and friendliness.
He is a real asset to the establishment.

Local Hotel great for visitors too

The service was impeccable, the room was clean, comfortable and so funky and cool! The shared bathroom experience was so much fun! Meeting other ladies (and passing the occasional gent) in our dressing gowns and slippers was like being at a giant sleepover! I will definitely be staying here every time I hit Fremantle. Just fabulous!

Like a fun sleepover in a funky room!

I enjoyed my stay, it was clean and quiet.  I had the best sleep ever. I felt like I was in another world.  So close to the center of Fremantle, within walking distance.  The smell of food as I walked down the stairs into the main area of the hotel was mouth-watering, so I dined in.  I recommend the food and the service of the staff made me feel like I was at home.

Went to the local for dinner and drinks 
First time 
This is our experience of the night
Loved the old style hotel with the sectional rooms  for dining or just catching up with friends for a drink 
The Ambiance is cosy warm and inviting like you are a local even if your not 
Staff friendly and efficient 
Good selection on the menu 
Reasonable priced
Our dishes of gumbo and the lamb rack was superb and large portions
So we shared the dessert of crème brûlée which was delicious 
Verdict
Had a wonderful evening and will definitely visit again

Great pub  feel like a local

We recently stayed here for 4 nights and loved every minute! Our rooms were spacious and immaculately clean (specially loved the addition of a robe and slippers - and we got to keep the slippers!) The beds are super comfy and the bathrooms are roomy and clean. They have thought of everything. The hotel itself with the decor etc was just beautiful! The staff were great and a special shout out to Taylor behind the bar - she was really friendly and helpful and she makes a great Bloody Mary! We will definitely be back and would absolutely recommend this gorgeous hotel. Thanks so much for taking care of us!
