I came here more for the fact that there was free rv parking. I was in for a very impressive night. There was a guy Danny Doon singing with his guitar to keep the guests entertained. But it was the meal it self was amazing. I ordered the barramundi with chips and salad. The service was very quick and the food was presented wonderfully. The fish was cooked just right and the salad was lovely with a light seeded mustard dressing.

This was the first time we have stayed there, and I must agree with the old saying "don't judge a book by it's cover". We booked online so we had not seen it. When we found the motel, we thought we were at the wrong place. However, we went in, checked in and found the staff very friendly, and wewere very pleased with our rooms. They looked a bit old from the outside, but all was good and clean on the inside.
We had dinner in the pub, and the food was great.

Hotel 5 South Grafton

This place was very nice its a short distance away from coutts crossing (where i live) so that when some extra family came down to vist we knew that we had a place close to us and very suitable for everyone. I am very pleased

Enjoyed my meal here immensely. Can’t comment on the accomodation but going off google maps it isn’t too bad. The atmosphere of the pub itself was enjoyable and service was prop and friendly. The meal itself was good value 

Great pub grub

I planned and paid $600 for a hens night that could not take place due to Covid-19. I phoned this venue to be reimbursed, i was told to bring in my receipt and there would be no issue. I phoned a few days later to organise a day to come in and see the manager for my refund as promised, to be informed that the previous management (Nick) had done a runner and the NEW people running this show now refuse to refund or even re-book the event i had already paid $600 for!!! disgusting behaviour! not to mention $400 of it was for the kitchen who have not even ordered let alone prepared any food i paid for despite the SAME chefs and staff that still work there and did not do a runner. The new manager i spoke with was uncaring, rude, used inappropriate language and gave ME attitude when i explained the situation.  I have worked in the hospitality industry for over 20 years, NEVER have i seen anything like this! Grafton is a small town and when word gets around how these new owners do business, they will not last. Absolute atrocious treatment! There are MANY pubs in and around Grafton, PLEASE do NOT support these rude, selfish S O B s!!!!

Took my wife and mother in law for dinner last night... what a disaster. Arrived with fight happening at the entrance. Ordered beverages and took a seat for dinner. Ordered dinner at the bar then the bar lady went and cooked our dinner. Dinner cost $90 for the three of us and none of us could eat it - steak was burnt and sooo over cooked, lamb cutlets were black and the thai salad was so tough and salty is was uneatable. Vegies were from the freezer and soggy, the salads were very basic and tasteless. The best part was the cos lettuce. I understand the premise is under new management and are attempting to improve the customer satisfaction - alot of work to be done.

Sorry to be harsh,

The room's carpet was dirty, the fridge had mould like marks all over the fridge door and mould on carpet. The bedside table had a sticky substance ALL over it to the point that the  table lamp was literally stuck to the substance on the bedside table that I could use the table lamp to lift the bedside table.  Hair and dust all over the lamp, dead skin cells and hair all over the floor at the top of the bed

The road opposite was noisy and dodgy pub patrons.

All in all, I'd say the room I had was disgusting and I'm really at a loss to honestly find good points. This was indeed the worse hotel room of all my experiences and hence why we checked straight out and cut our loses of one nights fee.

HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED.
