Close to a lot of attractions .
The rooms are very clean with super comfortable beds and pillows and soft linen not scratchy like some motel linens are .
Food in the restaurant was delicious,excellent service served by very friendly staff . 
The whole place has a wonderful atmosphere.
Well done to everyone involved in the smooth running of your establishment.

Comfortable establishment 

Well I hadn't been for a while thought a solo lunch so ordered Pub Loaf enough for four people had 3  lovely butter's with it and  Lamb Shank with pumpkin veggies. Truly the best ❤️ Lamb Shank ever. Thanks

Great lunch 👍

We regularly call in to the Claremont Hotel for lunch - usually the senior deal.  The roast beef was very tender, the vegies cooked 'just right'  and the service was efficient and friendly.  We'll be back soon.

Another great meal

Called in for a lunch with my mum and was really surprised on the senior meal deal at the Claremont Hotel. For $15 for a smaller main meal and a sweet.
Mum has a roast and was terrific, I had fish and chips. The fish seemed to be frozen flat head and I suppose that’s what you expect at a basic Hotel.

But overall it was terrific .


Seniors meal was great

I count this as my local dining out place, only 5 minutes from home.  The dining room is clean and well presented and décor is attractive without being "in your face".  The Gaming area is completely separate so doesn't intrude on your dining experience.  Meals are well prepared in only a short time from ordering and are always delicious.  The menu has plenty of choices and prices very reasonable.  Most nights they have specials such as Tuesday Parma night when we went.  There were 10-12 choices.  I had the honey mustard parma served with bacon and a poached egg (quite different), my wife had pulled pork.  Both were yummy.  You have the choice of traditional crumbed chicken or the more healthy grilled chicken.  Served with chips and salad, the chips were sufficient without taking over the whole plate.  Salad came with a squeeze pack of dressing so you can have as much or as little as you like.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are available.

Bistro meals are always delicious

We had a comfortable one night stay here, our first night after arriving at Hobart.
Access was difficult with no obvious reception area - we had to call to discover that you had to go into the public bar to access reception.
The rooms are very plain but clean and reasonably cheap so overall good value.
No WiFi available.


Good despite the renovations

Called in for lunch with my mum.

A great place as she has a walker and there is plenty of room.

Mum likes it has she can have a roast dinner and veggies and we can have a steak or other types of meals. 

Staff are great and parking is always terrific.

Could vary their menu from time to time.

A great meal

Had the best pork porterhouse at this pub, my mum had a scollops and always great service. 

People were in the main being safe, but still observed people not checking in.

Mum had veggie’s and I had a lovely rub and some chips 

Easy park and close to all parts of Hobart

Great food

Called in with my mum for lunch.
Was post COVID lockdown. 

Really comfortable with the COVID cleaning etc... 

Food was fantastic, mum had a pork roast, a small one and not only was the pork great - the veggies were way better than other places of undercooked food. 

 I had a steak, wonderful chips. Salad and mushroom sauce.

Lunch with my mum and they have a great Seniors meal, with two courses for only $18. She loved it.
I had a Ceaser Salad with Chicken.   Chicken tasted off, to much cheese and mayonnaise, was a bit disappointed. 
Lot of people in but they had the air conditioning on blowing out a lot of cold air, so much you could not sit in some areas. Be good on hot days. 

Ambiance is just a pub.  But good value food.
