Finished work, dinner not arranged.   Table for 2.  A warm,welcoming place to be of a winter.   Service outstanding and food beautiful. Well done it's lovely to have a local venue that's welcoming and  of high standard. The renovations are great and a perfect location

Food service 10/10

We had a very nice meal last night with a group of five.
The drinks were quite reasonably priced as was the meals. We started by sharing garlic bread with cheese and bacon which was very tasty.
We had the chilli prawn pasta (without chilli), fish of the day (flake), Caesar salad and pan-fried kingfish. All meals were very nice, well presented and of good quantity.
The highlight was catching up with Michael Kelly who is the operations manager and formerly of the famous Kelly’s Restaurant, originally at Port Arthur and then Battery Point.

Good value meal

Very generous servings, Thai meals were spectacular!!! Very authentic, the fish sauce being essential! 
The restaurant staff were constantly smiling and friendly. 
Such a peaceful place to enjoy a meal with lovely food!

What a comfortable and welcoming place to stay.  Lovely, spacious rooms, wide hallways, multiple fireplaces, outdoor deck area for nicer weather, great food, nice wine and very friendly staff.   I had the massamam beef in the Thai restaurant and it was amazing!

Made to feel very welcome here.

Lots of rooms facing the water - teeming with bird life.   Gorgeous peaceful setting. 
Very comfortable hotel, extremely comfy bed, lovely welcome from staff. 
Option to have Thai or Bistro food.  
Lovely outdoors area to have a drink when it is sunny, cosy lounge when cold.
Would go back in a blink. 

Gorgeous setting 

We stayed overnight,  dined in with local family.  From the outset, the reception and hospitality staff were absolutely tops in commonsensical friendly service and attention to what our requirements might be.

Room with a unique and excellent presence over the tidal outlook, viewing swans and pelicans and native hens up close and personal,  going about their end-of-day business. 

Scallops gratin with sensitively prepared and presented vegs for all 3 of us for mains, also unanimous on the apple strudel to follow. 

Great stuff, all round.  We shall return, thank you!!

Old school quality 

We have had a rather bad dining experience in the past at this venue. We heard there was a new Thai chef and things had greatly improved, so we decided to give it another go.  They certainly have improved! We had a lovely lunch of oysters, prawn stir fry and sizzling beef. The flavours were beautiful. All dishes were well presented with vegetable garnishes etc. Good and prompt service.  While we were dining, we overheard a conversation between another Irish diner and the gentleman serving behind the bar. Apparently Guinness beer was not available on site, but shortly afterwards the barman beckoned to the diner to come around to the bar where he was served with a large glass of what appeared to be Guinness. Now that is customer service. Well done.

What a huge improvement

This hotel is apparently under new management and the signs are good that the staff are working hard to make it a positive experience. Check in was easy with a luggage trolley and easy access along a pathway from the carpark to the rooms. Our sea view room had a lovely view (even though it was ground floor) with balcony, although it was a little chilly to take advantage of the balcony. Lots of bird life coming and going outside. The Panorama Bistro restaurant was very good once we realised that bistro meant you needed to order at the bar. Our shared seafood platter for two was delicious, apart from the fact that there was only one piece of fish over which we had to fight! All in all an excellent experience.

Excellent three night stay

Beautiful Hotel in a truly lovely location. Very well laid out to make the most of the very lovely panoramic views. Great to have the convenience of a restaurant on site. 
The lady at reception was friendly and welcoming. 
We checked in late and had to leave early. So sad we could not stay longer. 

Lovely place. Hope to return. 

Very strange on arrival for dinner as the car park was very dark and entry point to restaurant was unclear. The complex is under new ownership and apparently more improvements are to be made. Restaurant provided a very good standard in meals and drinks and quite good service. Nice dining room with fireplace.
