This was far better than expected, really nice room, spacious and clean. Excellent setting, large selection at breakfast, super service from staff. Possible to wash in laundry in building. Beautiful garden for breakfast the or coffee. Nice place for more than one night.

A wonderful lodge/motel in beautiful Malanda. Excellent value. Very clean rooms- grounds immaculately cared for and a great pool. The complimentary breakfast is a fabulous bonus. I cant speak highly enough of the staff and the accommodation-and its so affordable too.
Do yourself a favour- stay here!

Wonderful place in beautiful surrounds

Establishment up there with the best. Management is focused, property clean  and looked after. and location is great. Wish I knew about this when working and constantly travelling. Will be returning as a base on atherton tablelands.

How delightful. What a gorgeous location. Spotlessly clean and excellent service. The contentanial breakfast was a lovely unexpected extra. We will definitely stay here again. We can't recommend the Malanda Lodge highly enough.  

Champagne on a beer budget

Two couples in our family had an overnight stay at Malanda Lodge and both were very impressed. The 2 rooms were very clean and modern and the bed was comfortable. The gardens were well maintained and the complimentary continental breakfast was very fresh and ample. The staff were very friendly too. We would definitely stay again here. 5 stars

Great stay overnight 

First longer stay in the Tablelands and so happy we found Malanda Lodge online booked directly to support local businesses and stop our $ going overseas and the place is lovely all ground floor rooms that have being tastefully upgraded price was great and included light breakfast staff very helpful and friendly highly recommend and we will definitely stay again when we return a couple of minutes drive from Malanda town centre 

Atherton Tablelands stay

Oh my 
If you are ever in Malanda.  What a hidden gem. The restaurant is called Pickle and Smoke 

This was one of the best smokehouses I have been to
Such reasonable prices and so very picturesque. 
Thank off to Australia’s oldest running theatre to see Avatar 
Great movie, but once is enough for a lifetime

My new favourite

I stayed with my family for a digital detox weekend. This lovely accomodation had all the right elements for a tablelands location. There was the beautiful fireplace in the restaurant and bar area, all surrounded with a beautiful pool and rainforest charm. The managers and staff do anything they can to help you be comfortable and welcome. The rooms are so nice and cosy for the cooler climate conditions. The shower was great, the room very clean, the modern warm brickwork gave a lovely country feel. The air conditioner worked fabulously, the patio was perfect and lovely. Security was excellent with screen doors and the front door. They had very well maintained carpet. I think I prefer this to hard floors. The tiny kitchenette was pleasing with a microwave and fridge and plenty of amenities. The beds were really comfy. This is one of the few gems left that offer a complimentary breakfast. It’s not a full fancy breakfast, as it is free. But they have a variety of breads, and spreads, adequate fruits, cereals, juice and basic hot drinks. This is  lovely to kick start the day. I do not feel fancy food is needed when you get it free. The rooms rates are very good value in my opinion. I enjoyed the large grounds, as did many families!  The pool is perfect. The restaurant was lovely and popular. There are BBQs right near the rooms. They even do “church” on a Sunday at 10.30 if you like fellowship. Do not expect high quality wifi. This is not the hotels fault. It’s the remote location. 

I loved my stay here💜

Regrettably we only booked one night on our return trip from the Lava Tubes to Cairns as the Lodge was an excellent accommodation choice. Reception was extremely friendly and dispensed all important information very efficiently. Luckily we enquired about dining in the restaurant and secured the last table. 
The accommodation was excellent. The room was large, well furnished , complete with a comfortable lounge. The bed was excellent. The outdoor seating area was an unexpected bonus as it overlooked the extensive well manicured grounds. It was a  great spot to enjoy a pre dinner drink. 
The pool looked inviting, maybe next time. 
The continental breakfast served in the dining room was very relaxed and civilised. 
We were luck enough to meet one of the delightful owners
Will definitely stop again and longer next time we are in the area.

Excellent in all facets

Booked in for one day, stayed for 3. Rooms are big and clean. Big bathroom. Had a patio out the back where the scrub turkeys came up every morning and afternoon for a visit. Continental Breakfast was great. Staff were so great. So pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately the restaurant is only open on weekends. The menu looks delicious.  Will definitely be staying there again.
