Booked in with our pooch (staffy). accommodation with a dog. What a bonus ,there should be more places like this in the Perth area for us country folk. Good price too. place was clean and fully equipped. Thumbs up to the cleaners!... thanks we will be back (59) .

Great place

The administration staff were so friendly and helpful. Angel was quick to assist with a smile and easy going attitude. The amenities were clean but not well stocked. Toilet paper was not refilled in several cubicles over a few days. There is a bath which is a great bonus. Gardens are lovely, pool crystal clear. Reinforcing is showing through concrete which will start to cause tripping hazards. 
A little pricey for us, but were a tad stuck while car was being fixed. 

If you like concrete

We enjoyed our stay at Banksia. The park has everything you need. The sites are private and spacious. Some would be tight to get onto in a big van, our van is 17ft so no problems. The ablutions are very clean and well maintained. The pool is a great size with plenty of room and one end us under cover so you can have a swim and not be in the sun. Would definitely recommend this park and have booked another stay prior to leaving. There are bus stops right out the front if you use public transport.

When myself and plus one entered our accommodation which was a superior studio cabin, I couldn’t help but wonder if it was a converted shipping container, if this was the case, then who ever did it has done a great job with a well thought out conversion having been done. It has all the necessities required for a pleasant stay. These cabins do sleep 4 with having a sofa bed but I think would be a bit cramped with 4 adults, perhaps 2 small children would be ok. The carport attached is a good idea also. The grounds are spacious and well kept. The only negative is the fact that you can hear the planes taking off first thing of a morning although;seems to be less on weekends, no alarm clock required.

SPLENDID 

We stayed in our caravan in the caravan part of the park with 5 other couples with their caravans so can only comment about our experience within that area.  Check in was friendly and easy.  Caravan sites were big and easy to get into.  Abultion block was spotless.  Best camp kitchen and campers lounge again spotless.  We overlooked the open green space which was pleasant.  Quiet area at night.  We all enjoyed our time there and would recommend for caravaners.

Very comfy

We stayed here for a few nights prior to leaving Australia with our 2 small dogs. They had a 11pm drop off at the Airport so it was handy. 

We had cabin 58 which had been done up, however it was very dusty and some of the dishes weren’t clean, so I then washed items prior to use. 

There is also no shelving in the kitchen for you to place food, no shelf in the shower box and no hooks in the bathroom. Just a suggestion that adding little things like these add to guest comfort; I rearranged to kitchen draws so I had somewhere to put our food other than stacking it on the bench. 

We did mention to 2 staff members that the draining of all sinks & shower was incredibly slow and the shower temperature very erratic. 

When I rung I asked about the dogs and any additional charges and wasn’t told anything. Then when we got the late arrival pack there was a form in there about a charge, this should have been advised when calling and on the website. 

We also found conflicting information from the website, late arrival info & guest compendium.

The park was clean and tidy. The Laundry facilities were well maintained. 

Handy Facilities when travelling with Dogs

Nice quiet caravan park, overnight stays mixed in with permanent sites. Very clean amenities, even has a bath in the shower block. We had 22ft caravan, tight reversing, but can do. Large grassed areas, nice pool.

Close to airport

Fine place. We stayed in a cabin, which was clean and perfectly acceptable. Pullout couch was not made up for a bed despite having 4 people on the reservation, but that wasn't a huge deal as all the sheets and things were provided. Kind of annoying check in since we were after hours, we had to call a number, who sent us a link to put pics of drivers license for me, except the service was pretty bad and we had no WiFi since we hadn't checked in yet, so it took a bit to go through so we had to wait outside in the dark. Otherwise, staff were helpful and kind. Our door to the cabin didn't lock, which was a big safety concern. Door was cracked open on arrival, and then would "lock", but was easily wiggled open with minimal effort. We ended up sliding the table in front of the door for the night. Comfortable enough bed and bathroom, but in a bad location if you don't have a car. Not really near anything. Probably wouldn't stay again, but could recommend to those with camper or caravan needing a place to sleep for a few hours before hitting the road again.

Average enough

We and our friends stayed for 4 nights on  powered sites in your park in May.
It is a lovely well maintained park with good access to public transport.
However there is a BUT coming.
There was an intensely strong smell of sewage around our site, so bad at times we could not sit outside. This made enjoying the wild life and surroundings impossible.
When I reported this,I was told it was due to the dump point. NO it was due to the sesspool behind the bins. No odour from the dump point. Our friends on the opposite side of the park, a long way from this area could also smell sewage.
Upon speaking with our neighbour,a permanent, she said she had reported it several times.
The Wifi is severely limited.I used it for about 2 hours, when we arrived to see what Perth city had to offer and check public transport timetables.
The next morning when trying to log on I  found that apparently I had used my 4 days worth of free WiFi but there was an option to buy more. Not on our whole 6 weeks on the road has this occurred in places where WiFi was readily available. If you can't get in a capital city, where else could you?
