This hotel is just perfect. It’s in a great location, the rooms are comfortable and the food excellent. But the thing that really raises it above the competition is the friendly efficient professionalism of everyone who works there. Nothing is too much trouble and they will really go the extra mile to help with any problem or request.

Superb customer service

This small hotel punches way above its 4 stars.  Its location right on the slopes yet just s short stroll up a gentle slope form the river and the centre of the Lech action is absolutely perfect.  We had half board, and the food each night was truly first class - great variety and quality, and such friendly service.  The spa facilities are truly beautiful, with a large indoor pool and hot tub plus four different types of sauna and a lovely relaxation area with a fireplace.  The family atmosphere is lovely, and the guests were so friendly - we received terrific advice on where to ski, shop, etc.  We will most definitely be back at the Madlochblick!

Marvellous service, friendly clientele, wonderful food, awesome spa, great location

The Madlochblick is a beautiful traditional hotel yards from the slopes in Lech.  There is a blue run down to the lifts 50 yards from the boot room.

The food is wonderful, we were half board and had huge buffet breakfasts from fresh carrot juice to bacon and sausages.  The supper was a feast of 3 starters, main, desert and coffee - it was a delight.  We were a large group ranging from aged 81 to aged 3 and they gave us our own area in the dining room and looked after us brilliantly, including catering for a member of our party on a special diet.

Spa area is serene, pool warm, hot tub huge.

Would thoroughly recommend.

A wonderful hotel

The Schuler family are fabulous hosts. Andrea, Marcus & their elegant Mother pay great attention to detail. Their hotel lobby is newly remodeled. A gorgeous neutral color palette with very comfortable seating makes you want to linger. They plan special treats each day such as a strudel party with about 10 different varieties. The restaurant menu is varied and excellent! Aeron and Susanna (and all the other staff) make sure your every wish is fulfilled. 
The rooms are spacious & lovely. The skiing is great in both Lech & Zurs. Lifts are easily reached from the hotel. Oh, did I mention the view?!! You will not be disappointed here. 

Gracious comfort

We just finished our 5th stay at the Hotel Madlochblick and yet again, had a wonderful time! (Below is my first review which contains a lot of helpful, still current details, FYI.)

New things this visit included a beautifully renovated hotel lobby and bar, an expanded sunny outdoor terrace, a fitness center, a library and yoga classes. The Schuler family was gracious and helpful as always and we really enjoyed getting to know the staff who were friendly and spoke excellent English. The Schulers offer special touches throughout the week such as a champagne reception one evening, an afternoon homemade strudel party and a fun apple fritter/gluhwein apres-ski event on the terrace. The chef serves a varied and delicious 4-5 course meal nightly.

In short, the Hotel Madlochblick has everything one could want in a cozy Austrian ski chalet-hotel, including a fantastic ski-in, ski-out location. 

I'm very much looking forward to visit #6!

Excellent stay from a happy repeat customer!

This is our 3rd consecutive trip to Lech and the Madlochblick.Each year we come away having had a fabulous time. It has the perfect location- essentially ski-in and ski out, and within a 5 minute walk of the town and its amenities .
 The food is absolutely fantastic . The breakfast is buffet style ,  with every need catered for. As a family we all have our individual favourites! Dinner in the evenings normally follows a salad,soup, starter,main, pudding format - and you choose in the morning what you'd like . We eat like kings and the food is properly delicious. ( in our first year , we booked a few local restaurants in the evening, in case the food was indifferent... We cancelled all our bookings!). 
The staff are uniformly friendly and welcoming.
Couldn't recommend the place highly enough.

Another perfect week.

A group of five in their seventies wanted a"snowy" holiday,with the chance to enjoy the pleasure of a winter week in the Alps,with skiing being of less importance than younger groups.Lech was chosen with its reputation of beauty and charming ambiance,it was indeed a delightful place with the most beautiful walks in a truly.snowy winter wonderland.Our Uk travel company recommended the Madlochblick a family owned and managed gem,with attention to detail in every way,the food and wine the finest!Staff charming and obliging,Aeron and Susanna especially.Location near the centre up a short hill ok even for us oldies.The spa area with it!s pool was far better than one would have expected.For a group of skiers and non skiers wanting to enjoy the pleasure of a "snowy" holiday,the Madlochblick and Lech was a perfect combination.
