We stayed here because we love old houses especially the chateaus and castkes of the once wealthy and famous.   This is a beautiful house with numerous impressive details located outside Falaen Belgium.   It is one of the most authentic places we have been.   There's is no central heating but we had an excellent fireplace we kept stoked until the room warmed up and maintained on its own through its thick walls.   There is a bath but no shower but plenty of hot water.  The owners are very nice and make an excellent breakfast.   Queen Victoria would have been amazed at the luxury but we were some where in between centuries.   Highly recommended as an enjoyable experience to those of us who still have a little adventure in ourselves.  

Authentic 19 Th century B&B

My then boyfriend took me to La Saisonneraie for a night of stay in Falaen. I fell in love. When we decided to have our wedding party in Belgium, I knew it had to be in La Saisonneraie. If you read my previous review in Jan 2015, my opening sentence was 'this is so perfect for an intimate wedding!". It is exactly what we did and it is what we got. The castle has 4 bedrooms so only families stayed inside the castle. The biggest suite is perfect as a bridal suite and the windows, door frames provide beautiful backdrops for photoshoot! My photographer could not stop raving about the castle. The grounds in front are more than enough to pitch a 150spm tent and an outdoor ceremony. The morning of the wedding itself rained a little so we improvised and changed the ceremony to the pebbled part just outside the chateau, and it worked out beautifully. The photos look amazing against the vine-covered stonewalls of the chateau!

Though the property is a bit far from Dinant , The place is in middle of woods ,but still accessible by road.The place run by a family is very tranquil with a beautiful garden /lawn to walk around and a small stream of river running along the property. The breakfast is served at a beautiful garden center. The place cannot be for all and the smell of feel of old castle come with it.

Amazing private L'lle Chalet

Going back In time, some 100 years ago, in a small castle surrounded by nature and silence. The hostess is warm and helpfull and prepares an excellent fresh breakfast. It's possible you have to deal with WiFi issues or with a rather chilly room (what do you expect, it is an old castle), but these are minor issues once you are indulged in a relaxing stay in an ancient setting. Tip: only at a 2 km drive you have an excellent restaurant where you can enjoy the flavours of nature.(l'artiste at Falaën)

Relaxing in nature

I can easily see this place as a beautiful and intimate wedding venue. (they do rent the whole castle out for $3000 euros for a week which I think it's quite a bargain). 
The night we arrived was cold and windy. But the next morning when it cleared up we took a very small walk around the castle, down the little stream and around the meadow. It looked beautiful. We were the only guests on that day and we got a nice corner suite with attached bathroom. All amenities are upgraded. Bathroom was impeccably clean with most toiletries provided family-style (aka not like the small tubes you get from hotels but family sized shampoo you'd buy for your own home). 
The castle was used for hunting trips and had many deer mounts on the wall. Maybe a little intimidating for some. The hosts were a gracious french-speaking couple who also made us delicious and sumptuous breakfast. Breakfast was served in the big dinning room not in the sun room since it was too cold.
The drive out from Dinant was about half hour. It wasn't difficult to find as there is basically one road in. 
There is free wifi.
