Beautiful home close to everything
We stayed four nights at the Munroe House. The pictures do not do justice to this beautiful and historic home. The rooms are incredibly spacious (ours included a couch, sitting area and huge dining room table) and despite being close to everything, it was perfectly quiet. Our host, Mark, was amazing

A Beautiful Start to our Newfoundland Adventures!
We found this Guest House and are so happy we did! It is close to the airport and after a long flight from Portland Oregon, we were happy for that! Eric was the host and provided all the needed information before we arrived. We were exhausted but were astonished by the beauty of the house. I wis

Excellent rooms & house
We spent two days at Monroe House after arriving in Newfoundland for a 2 week roadtrip.
Check-in was easy. The house is lovely and has the look and feel of a true heritage property. The rooms are spacious, and well equipped. There 2 large rooms that guests can use to relax and/or eating.

If you don't care that much about the amenities that come from a more conventional hotel, this is a great place. There are no staff on the premises m

Historic Building Full of Character
Right downtown. My room was huge, clean, well maintained and very comfortable. I had read that it was a B&B and found that a little misleading. There was no breakfast included and no staff onsite if you had any need for them. There is a large, well appointed shared kitchen and many common rooms.

Two very hot nights in a beautiful home
This beautiful home previously belonged to the Prime Minister of Newfoundland. We were alone in the very large home when we first arrived and were able to take a quick look at each room as we climbed to the third floor. Every room looks well done and beautiful. There is an elevator in the home but I

Convenient and quiet
A charming guest house. It had everything we needed and more. We didn't use the large well stocked kitchen. The location is also good as it is walking distance almost anywhere downtown. We stayed there three nights and hardly saw or heard anyone else even though it was fully booked.
