I read the old reviews about this property and i was skeptical. However, i noticed that they were all from over a year ago. so i decided to give them a try. Turns out they have new owners and i am impressed. The rooms have been renovated, the staff is friendly and the bar attached was so much fun singing karaoke on Saturday! I highly recommend this property!

New owners have completely transformed this property

It is a nice place to stay, close to a lake.  Very friendly and helpfull owner.  Close to 2 restaurants (within walking distance), but go early (around 6 because both restaurants close really early, at about 8 p.m.).  There is also a large shop which was able to provade food since we were to late for the restaurants.

Good motel, very well located

We had been warned by several locals for years to avoid this place at all costs, but we needed a place at the last minute for three nights, and booked a room for the September long weekend.

Upon showing up, we had immediate concerns as no one was around the office, nor did they answer the phone when we called. But after waiting for several minutes, a young lady checked us in.  

The exterior of the building was dilapidated and the grounds unkempt, and as we turned the key to enter our room, we held our collective breath. 

Much to our surprise, the room was very clean, roomy and had been recently renovated.  The king bed was new and very comfortable.  New flooring, windows  and bathroom fixtures had been added.  The a/c was on when we entered the room, and set to a comfortable temperature of 21 degrees C. The fridge, microwave and coffee maker worked perfectly.  Wi-Fi worked like a charm.

Despite being next to Trans-Canada highway, we barely heard the traffic going by.

We spent a lot of time on the back balcony which overlooking the lake, and was quite relaxing.

Like the front of the property, the rear too is in neglect.  The balcony had not been swept, and the expansive grounds were overgrown.

There were not a lot of bookings at this motel given it's reputation.  Housekeeping did not even make an appearance on the second floor on Sunday.

Despite the unkempt exterior, the room we stayed in exceeded our expectations, and we would not hesitate to stay in that room again.

Decent Place

Rooms were awful. There was next no accommodations, the inside were filthy and the scenery was an eyesore. The owners of that place are disrespectful and unprofessional whenever I asked for their service. They give me no reason to like either of them or their business.

Do not come to this so-called hotel

I have came to this Inn several months ago, and it was terrible. The bedspread had stains all over, I saw cobwebs in every corner of the room. I slept in my sleeping bag instead. The owners would have to pay me to stay in that disgusting place.

worst hotel I've ever been to

Had one room, came back a week later and I left ice cream in the freezer, got the same room and they were still there.
Empty beer cans on balcony and the floor was ripped up so couldn't use.
Very disappointed.

Not clean.

This is a roadside motel attached to a bar, and I stopped for the night due to road conditions. Staff was friendly, room was clean, and bed comfy. I was told I was going into a renovated room. There were nails sticking out of the walls in a few places. Bed didn't have a headboard and right above the pillow was a nail sticking out of the wall a good 2 or so inches. So staff made the bed and put the pillow under the nail without thinking it could injure someone!? Room had no heat and no thermostat. My bad for not going to staff to rectify; however, I made the assumption that when a room was rented surely the heat would be turned on, and I just wanted to sleep. It wasn't and I woke up a couple times in the night cold. Also woken up a couple times by the bar crowd who were quite loud and running up and down the front of the motel. Stop if you have to, but there are likely better options.

A little common sense goes a long way

Don’t stay here! My wife and son are covered in bites after spending two nights here. Place was not very clean, found mouse poop under the bathroom sink. Not worth $120+ per night. Keep driving to one of the next towns!

Bed bugs

Lots of reviews complain about the check in stuff, it sucks. I think the only people on staff are the cook and
The bartender  and the have to check in guests as well
 Not the staffs fault. But not mine either.

I will remember to forget this place.

Good wifi, not much else

The first thing I noticed when I checked our room out was a long, dark hair on one of our towels. There were multiple very big stains on the carpet as well as stains on the bedding, one of which looked like feces. There were also holes in the bedding. The blacony was filthy and riddled with spider webs and spiders. It's no more than a low grade place to sleep.
