This is an elegant Victorian B&B with a fabulous breakfast. Mary Anne was a wonderful host and our room was beautiful and very clean. 

We discovered that the legendary Holman's Ice Cream in Summerside is closed on Sundays! That was our only disappointment.

We only stayed one night, which felt like enough for this small town. It was an easy drive to Cavendish beach from Summerside the next day.

Lovely

The Summerside Inn host was a welcoming gracious person. The Inns Victorian history is well maintained and provides a feel of historic comfort.  Our host prepared both sweet and savoury breakfasts that were absolutely delicious!  We will definitely keep this spot on our list for future travel.

Historic Victorian Stay

Lovely B and B in Summerside walking distance to the Summerside boardwalk and restaurants.  Lovely historical rooms with a beautiful dinning room for breakfast.  The breakfast was devious and the service was great.

We stayed here mid June 2022 .  Beautifully furnished old heritage home that was impeccably clean.,
Maryanne our host was very accommodating and friendly!   Her breakfasts were out of this world served on fine China and Crystal bowls!  Eggs Benedict was delicious!  Thank you Maryanne! 

Home was beautiful and clean

The Summerside Inn was the perfect place to stay on PEI. The house is beautiful, with its Victorian wooden staircases, doors, and working wood fireplaces. We walked 6 miles every morning, exploring the stately houses and buildings of Summerside, and there are good restaurants within easy walking distance. The house was so quiet, as was our room - and our room was bright, cheery and very comfortable. By far the best part of Summerside Inn is Mary Ann. She is so warm and welcoming, and an outstanding cook - and we loved chatting with her! We didn't want to leave!

Outstanding

This was our first trip to PEI and Summerside was our first stop on our two-week trip. The inn is beautiful, yet comfortable. So often, we’ve stayed in older places that were lovely to look at, but not so comfortable for sitting, chatting, hanging out, or sleeping. The Summerside Inn covered all the bases wonderfully. We stayed in the Winter Room and loved it. The bed, even though antique in feel, was solid in feel with one of the most comfortable mattresses you’ll ever sleep on. The bathroom in this suite has an old claw foot tub that can be difficult to climb into if your balance or agility aren’t great, but we loved it. Breakfast was tasty and consisted of a couple of courses which allows for flexibility if you’re a breakfast lover (my husband) or not (that would be me). 

There is plenty to do and see whether it be on foot or by car. The island is small enough that you can get to a lot of things in about a half an hour. And, for ice cream lovers, Holman’s is just a block away. We also recommend Moment’s Cafe - Chinese food that is prepped and cooked fresh to order and bubble waffles! So delicious. 

One of the fun aspects of B&Bs is when your hosts create a space where you feel comfortable and welcomed. That was very evident at the Summerside Inn. You could be on the go each day or just as easily hang out all day, reading, talking with other guests, talking with Mary Ann, enjoying her very friendly and very cuddly little dog, or listening in on a guitar lesson given by Tim to one of the local residents. All in all, a restful stay in a beautiful inn.

Perfect place to stay in Summerside

My wife and I were traveling through the Maritimes. One of our stops was in Summerside PEI. We stayed at this wonderful B&B. From classic decor to our accommodations to the hostess (Mary Ann was very helpful and patient with any questions) and breakfast (eggs Benedict accompanied by fresh fruit and pastries) we had an excellent stay. 

Visiting Summerside PEI 

We stayed here for 2 night at the beginning of July 2019 and got a room upgrade due to another couple's arrival date change, which was a nice surprise.  One evening we had a delightful conversation with some other guests and Mary Anne.  We walked downtown for dinner one night and walked for ice cream the other night.   Mary Anne was a wonderful host and made a top notch breakfast and we would definitely stay here again.

Wonderplace B&B

This would be our first and only choice for accomodations  in PEI. Delicious breakfasts, comfortable surroundings and wonderful hosts. 
Each room is unique and clean.  Your breakfast is served on fine china with gold flatware.

Beautiful Vintage B&B

We had an enjoyable 2 night stay at the Summerside B&B and Mary Anne, the owner, could not have been more friendly or helpful! The accommodations were very comfortable and the breakfast each day was excellent! Each day we had a different entree which was served at the requested time!
