We came to Riverdocks for a last minute getaway and planned to stay one night. We were so impressed with the suite and the service that we ended up staying an extra night. We had the one bedroom suite and were amazed at how modern it was finished. The kitchen was perfectly equipped with a stainless steel stove, oven, dishwasher, fridge and microwave - all were spotless and worked perfectly. The dishes were clean and modern. The suite itself was really nice, comfortable and very, very, clean. The king size bed was super comfortable and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The hotel is only a short two minute walk to the beach, but also has its own little beach in the back by the docks with lounge chairs, umbrellas and couches to kick back in. There are even two webber BBQ's with all the utensils available for self-grilling. My family of three had an amazing stay here and will be back for sure. Thank you Cha for being so accommodating and going out of your way to make our stay so pleasant. This is the best place to stay in Wasaga for sure!

Great hotel for family getaway!

We took a last minute road trip on the long weekend and found ourselves in wasaga Beach.  We were late to book and the receptionist stayed after hours to book us in.  The location  is fabulous, right beside the beach trails, it was far enough out of the main beach area to be peaceful yet close enough to walk.  The building feels safe and secure, the room exceeded our expectations.  Will be staying here again. 

Great place to hang your hat 

Don’t look any further if you are looking for an amazing property for your family’s stay in Wasaga Beach!  The hotel is situated in the best location - conveniently located steps from the beach on its own gorgeous piece of property with views of the river.  The hotel grounds offer patio tables, umbrellas, muskoka chairs and barbecues at no additional cost. The rooms are clean and modern, with tons of space. We couldn’t believe all the amenities offered. The rooms come standard with a kitchenette, allowing for an economical stay when you want to prepare your own meals. Loved waking up to a Keurig coffee! The owners were super friendly and made us feel so welcome.  We’ve only been home for a few hours and have just booked our next stay at Wasaga Riverdocks!

Beyond Our Expectations

Met up with a few friends for the weekend in Wasaga Beach.   It’s been some time since we’ve visited the area but this past weekend was exceptionally great given our stay at Riverdocks.   From the time we arrived to time we left we felt the staff to be extremely nice and empathetic to our needs/experience.   Our room was exceptionally clean and the decor was tasteful and resembling a modern day downtown Toronto Hotel.   Chalk up a future trip to Wasaga....and as importantly Wasaga Riverdocks Suites.

A great weekend at a great place

Friendly staff and beauitful clean rooms. I will definitely book here again! Great family vacation just a few minutes away from the beach. We bbq'd which saved us a small fortune. Home away from home!!

Beautiful

Excellent place to stay in Wasaga. Suite was a good size, clean and had everything you could want for a short stay. Parking outside each suite, so super handy. Access to the water, BBQ’s and outside seating. Can’t fault anything. Front desk was super helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay here again ….. !!

Everything was perfect.

Overall this is a good choice and if decide on another Wasaga beach vacation we will definitely return to this property.   

We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite facing the river.  The room was spacious and very clean.  Cha at front desk was very helpful and friendly. The king size bed was great, really comfortable mattress. 

When you check in, the hotel charges a security deposit which is returned if you take out the garbage and ensure that the dishes are clean and put away.   We had no problem with getting our security deposit back at the end of our stay.

A few things to keep in mind: 

the WiFI is almost nonexistent.  We managed to get on once, sitting on our balcony.  TV only has analog channels.  Not sure if the Wifi issues are common in Wasaga or the property needs to upgrade their connection.

Stairs -the hotel doesn’t have an elevator, not an issue for us, however the stairwell area could use some maintenance /cleaning - it’s the first thing that a guest sees and it should be cleaner. 

Bedding and towels - for the cost of the room, would have expected better quality, more luxurious feel to them.

Good choice for a family vacation

I cannot understand some of the negative reviews on this site for this hotel. It isn't a typical hotel but more of a small housekeeping condo building being run like a hotel. We had 3 adults in the riverview one bedroom (2 bathrooms) and it was very spacious and sparkling clean. We enjoyed the private space on the river and the balcony. Beach 2 is right across the road but if you plan to bring much with you to the beach, its advisable if you have a collapsible wagon of some sort. The owner has a place on the same property and it sounds like they do not tolerate partying crowds. The only complaint I can make is that the air conditioning unit is quite loud but we find that at many hotels/motels. Also there are no elevators so if you have a lot of stuff or have mobility issues, you may want to stick to the first floor.

Large, modern and spotless accommodations steps from Beach 2!

New condo style suite on Mosley street across the street from beach area 2/3. The unit was clean and comfortable and well equipped with kitchen tools, toaster, kettle, fridge freezer, stove and microwave. There were dishes and utensils and a dishwasher, it was a king size bed,  very comfortable and a TV, WIFI and table chairs, sofa.  The unit had a balcony but faced the parking lot. No view. There were barbecues and picnics area and a small private beach area but it overlooks the river, area is noisy and busy.

New condo style suite but pricey

We reserved this hotel because our friends did - the location is excellent, across the street from the Beach (Beach Area 2).   We had Studio Rooms which were on the ground floor facing the river.  We did not have a view from our room, as the windows were frosted over (for privacy as the parking lot is right outside our door) - not a real issue at all for us.   Reception was fabulous, the room was exactly as I expected.   Beds were comfortable, was nice to have a tub to bathe our toddler after fun at the beach.   The private beach at the hotel was a great way to enterain our kids while we sipped morning coffee watching boats go by.

THe only things I would like to recommed or warn other parents about is, the mainfloor rooms lock but there is no deadbolt - our kids were able to easily open the doors from the inside and walk right out to the car park.   Anyone with a toddler should be aware of this.  Also as an added bit of security deadbolts would be nice since the rooms were accessible only from the carpark on the main floor with exterior coorridors.  

Otherwise the room was well equipped, having a kitchen was amazing!   

Defintely recommend this hotel, and we will likely be back!
