Impressive resort. Rooms are very well decorated and very comfortable.
The hot tubs are an experience! 
Total resort is extremely well maintained. A pleasure to be there. Highly recommended.
Two restaurants are delivering value for money.

Beautiful resort - Hot Springs

The hotel is very nice. The facilities are excellent. The staff are friendly and very helpful. We were holding a conference there. The sales, banquet and everybody were so supportive. Really thanks for their help.

Warm hearted staff

We were a group of 70 people staying 3 days 2 nights and having meeting there. The comfort environment, fantastic arrangement and great hospitality service provide us an unforgettable experience. 
Especially would like to thank you Isabella, she made everything possible. She always do her best to make our stay wonderful. No matter the room and the meeting arrangement, she always make sure everything is arranged perfectly, even better than our expectation. 
If you would like to arrange a retreat/ meeting with comfortable and relaxing stay, highly recommend Dusit and Isabella. They will not disappointed you.

Unbelievable experience with fantastic service

It was our first time at any Dusit hotel, it was our wedding anniversary and so we were very excited about our stay!
First of, generally we had a lovely experience, the room was cozy, spacious and beds were comfortable with some of the most comfy pillows I have ever slept on. Despite the facilities being a bit outdated and worn out, we thought the buildings, paths, were in good condition.

The service we received was good and most staff were pleasant and smiling, however the receptionist who dealt with us at check-in did not look welcoming at all and hardly looked at us-not the best first impression.
We were happy with the pools and had lots of fun in the water. Having said that, the water was not particularly clean and when we mentioned this to the staff member at the main pool, he agreed that the cleanliness of the water was just so-so yet did not bother to use the next right next to him and try to remove the leaves floating around! Both the indoor and outdoor pools could have really done with a deep clean, both in terms of water and the surrounding area-I was particularly shocked to see layers of dust and dirt by the windows in the indoor pool area. Very off-putting. Several pools were out of use and about half of the spa function buttons didn't work-is this 5* standard?

The lounge area in the 2nd floor was disappointing with no music and hardly any interesting items on offer for free to customers. It felt like a cheap 3* hotel, not a 5* one. Prawn crackers and cherry tomatoes plus cordial?Really?! The same unfortunately goes for the food served at both breakfast and dinner buffet. Overall it was ok-ish, with some tasty items, but most well below standard of 5*. The desserts were especially bad and items were not replaced, e.g. the vanilla pudding.
Breakfast was one of the worst I have had in what is supposed to be an upmarket hotel. Incredibly cheap and low quality, e.g. no cold meats, only toast bread and a soft baguette, horrible sweet breads (and I normally really like pineapple buns etc.), no fresh juice, no teaspoons for tea/coffee! I was not expecting Michelin star food, just decent quality.Honestly, I've had better breakfasts at hostels.

We travelled with our son and were very happy to see a play room for kids with puzzles, building blocks, DVDs with kids' classics and a ball pit BUT we decided not to use it due to the very poor condition of the toys(random bits mixed together, puzzle boxes in tatters) and serious concerns about the cleanliness of the entire room. What a shame. I understand that perhaps that room isn't used very often but it should still be tidy and clean, ready to use at all times, shouldn't it?

Despite the room walls/adjoining doors being paper-thin which meant we heard every word of the neighbour's conversations, we thought the place was nice and relaxing and would return. We would most definitely not eat there again though. Please improve the food quality/dining standards and ensure the water is changed/cleaned regularly! The above changes really do make a difference to one's holiday experience.

Relaxing stay with lots of water play but could be much better

The room : 
The hotel itself is really nice : the villa was really nice, beautifully decorated, very spacious and clean. The private outdoor bath was big enough for 2 people, and was really enjoyable. We both really enjoyed the villa and the room. 

The baths : 
Being used to the onsen in Japan, it was a totally different experience. It was more like a small theme park than a relaxed onsen. However, the big number of baths still allow people to enjoy a bit of privacy, especially in the evenings

The food : 
The choice of food was limited (one chinese restaurant and one buffet restaurant) and quite expensive. Portions are huge and not really adapted to a couple.

The service : 
That's the biggest disappointment for us. It was (really) far from being the level of service you expect from a 5 star hotel. We arrived around 3PM at the hotel. No one went to welcome us or help us with our luggage. The lobby was really messy and noisy, and we had to wait 30mn standing up before we could check in. The check in was done in 5 mn, with no explanation or anything, and not even a smile.
Same at the restaurants. The staff didn't smile or made us feel welcome. 

Overall experience :
As one of the previous below said, the hardware is 5 stars. The room and the hotel were really beautiful. However, the service was really disappointing, and because of that, I would not go back to this hotel, especially given the price. We simply didnt feel welcome.

Great infrastructure but disappointing service.

We travelled to this hotel based on a recommendation of a friend who had visited a year earlier. What a difference a year makes... the design is good and I am sure it looked great when it first opened but the maintenance of the property and the lasting power of the design is very weak. The room and facilities had already started to look rundown. There was also a smell of damp and mould in the room. The food is below average, especially for meals outside of breakfast. The spa services were OK. The hotsprings are quite crowded, people can be fairly loud so it's not that relaxing and it's a bit gross to be honest because you can hear other patrons hawking up phlegm or see them checking their feet or examining and picking at other parts of their body below the water or they discard things by the hot springs. It was really off-putting and we couldn't wait to escape. Service is limited/staff are disinterested. We walked everywhere instead of taking the golf cart but it's there if you need/want it. I would not recommend and will not be returning.

Would not return

We are still staying here in the hotel now but it spur me to write this review as we were all very disappointed with this hotel and were wondering how they got such good reviews previously on TA. This is to warn all other travellers to be more discerning.

This was supposed to be highlight of the trip but it turned out to be such a let down.

On arrival at 230pm, we were told that the our rooms were not ready. Check in was 3pm. So we were told to wait at the spa lounge. By the time we sat down at the lounge, the front desk called and we had to walk all the way to front desk again.

After getting our keys, we waited quite a while and had to remind the staffs several times that we needed the buggy to send us to our rooms. Appeared that there’s no proper SOP in this hotel for the guest check in process

After check in, we went to the hot spring lounge. The refreshment provided at the lounge is pathetic. Cut fruits are left in open uncovered with flies feeding on them, biscuits are all left out for too Long that they had become soft. Instead of serving sandwiches, they serve plain bread with no jam or butter provided. Soft drinks are kept in a canister? So the gassy drinks become non gassy??? Massage chairs are all not working, no air con in the lounge, as they claimed that it’s power down day. Really? Cleanliness at the hot spring lounge is hopeless too, you can see food left behind all over the massage chairs area. ( refer to photo)

Once you get to the hotspring area, 3 out of 10 pools/ equipment were either not in operation or not working. Please be reminded that even though hot spring entry is included for hotel guests, we had to pay extra of 188rmb for our children ( third person in the room) just to enter the hot spring area! You can tell right away that the hotel does not make sure that the facilities are in tip TOP condition. 

Lastly, due to the so called power down, many areas in the hotel/ hot spring area were in total darkness. It is obvious the hotel do not know how to handle such situations. The toilets and some of the facilities are so pitch dark ( during the day) that we can’t use them. I would expect at least they place candles to light up at least the toilets, that’s so basic.

In conclusion, the only saving grace for this hotel is the room is in general cosy and well appointed. Other than that, it is 5 star hotel hardware, charging 5 star hotel rate but running like a 3 star hotel. We just came from Alila Yangshuo which charges a slightly higher room rate than Dusit. I would say the experience here is no where near Alila Yangshuo. 

Please look elsewhere if you are expecting a international class hot spring experience. Japan or Taiwan hotspring resorts will give you better value for money and the luxurious experience, definitely give this a miss.
