little difficult to approach the location. except this overall experience staying with this hotel was an excellent experience. the personal care and hospitality is unique. hotel staff and other service personals were excellent at their duty.
it was my first visit to the city and hotel as well. I will prefer to stay with in my next trips to Guangzhou definitely.


Excellent experience of staying with.

Be there for exchibition purpose, they provide shuttle bus to the exchibition hall, so transportation is not an issue. This hotel really out from no way, surrounded by residents area with street of restaurant, market and some small stall, to access to city the only transport is taxi, customer service normal.
Room: floor are very dusty, dusty everywhere, like nobody stay for a long time, my feet turn black, but due to my arrival was late(early morning) and tired, i decided sleep first. Second day ask them to clean the dusty room, it seem like slightly better.
Will i still go back? No way..

surrounded with residents and low maintainance

Travelling to Canton for business (115th Canton Fair), we booked the Lan Hai Hotel on it's location from the fair (10 minutes). 

Our initial excitement of the nearby location quickly faded with our experiences and surrounding location that this hotel offered. The rooms themselves were overpriced for the quality and content of the room. The rate of $120US saw us restricted to a small room, without a non-smoking option. The room did not feature a bar fridge - not good it a hot climate. To add to the atmospheric drama, the air conditioner did not work. 

We found the staff unapproachable and quiet rude particularly when attempting to communicate with them regarding directions. We found their conduct offensive at times and felt uncomfortable with out stay. 

Breakfast was included and boasted "international" cuisine. However, only Asian cuisine was available. Unfortunately, we didn't eat breakfast during our stay due to the sub-par conditions of food preparation and storage. 

Security repeatedly harassed us, claiming we were responsible for damage around the premise.

Would not recommend staying at this hotel, even given it's nearby location to the fair.
