If you want to live the real experience go to this place. It is a deep neighborhood in island just in front of the great Buddha of Leshan. The day and night view is awesome. The family in the place is lovely. The owner knows English perfectly and is willing to assist and help in anything you need. You will have real handmade dumplings for breakfast. Exquisite flavor. There is a very rustic just beside the hostel with exquisite Chinese local food. You find people playing majong and cards in the street. The place is cozy and clean. Very well decorated. Air conditioning and comfortable beds (Chinese beds can be a bit hard, though. But that’s everywhere). The access to the place is narrow and difficult but the owner guarantees transportation. I loved it!

Highly recommended

Beautiful small Inn in a lovely spot on an island just opposite the Buddha. So the view is perfect. We watched in the evening the Buddha in the lights. The colors were changing. 
The family was very friendly and took us from the Buddha and next morning took us to the bus station. 
The room was clean and lovely with a balcony that had a view to the Buddha. You could sleep window open and hear the river sounds. Not very big but has all you need. And had been decorated with style.
Breakfast was good.
Just perfect! 

A Paradise middle of the town

This is a brilliant hotel situated opposite the Dafu. The family who runs the inn is amazing and a rare thing to be found in China. The Inn has the typical traveller walls where you can write messages and there is a lovely vibe. 

Be sure to have a Chinese telephone number of WeChat account as the family is able to pick you up from the train station or airport as many taxi drivers are reluctant to drive on the little island where the hotel is situated.

The view alone is worth it and the family will help you to think of and find places to go to enjoy Leshan.

Great family, great room, great view, great price

The hotel is clean, friendly and has an excellent view. If you are travelling to Leshan, you probably plan to see the Great Buddha, and this hotel probably has the best view in the city. The hotel is on an island which looks over the river to the Buddha, so you can sit on your balcony and enjoy the view at sunset. The hotel itself is very clean, with modern rooms and facilities. The hotel is small, informal and very stylish. The food was excellent, and reasonably priced. 
Getting to the hotel is a little bit more difficult, as taxi drivers often don’t want to drive on the island. This isn’t really a problem – the hotel picked us up from a nearby bus station, and took us back at the end of the stay. The view is worth the extra effort. There is also a nearby passenger ferry to the city, quite close to a place that does boat trips to the foot of the Buddha.
I strongly recommend this hotel. Mainly for the view, but it is also a very pleasant place to stay.

Charming hotel in great location

This is a very comfortable guesthouse several kilometres outside Leshan directly across the river from the Giant Buddha.  Our room was very comfortable with a balcony that would have had great views of the buddha if the weather had cooperated.  We had a lovely dinner and breakfast here and the staff were very helpful.  Note that no one seemed to speak English - maybe because we were here in the off season.
