From Kempinski to Wanda, something is different. Different locations different decorations and different experience. Wanda has wonderful views and stores. The traffic is also very convenient. The rooms are much moderner and More Chinese style. If you want to try some traditional Chinese stuffs, Wanda is really a good choice. 

Kempinski is a wonderful luxury hotel with long glorious history. Their service and customer care are the top of the world. 

The good news is Mrs. Chi Xin and her colleagues made me had the same experience in Wanda Vista Shenyang. Booked me the room, introduced the hotel's equipments and benefits,and also showed me the local attractions. Everything was detailed and thoughtful. 

Anyway it was a great experience in Wanda Vista Shenyang. Thanks Mrs. Chi Xin and her colleagues so much!

A wonderful experience in Wanda Vista Shenyang

I had a great stay here and I was accommodated very well by fantastic staff of Wanda Vista. In the morning, my day starts freshly with the kind accommodation of Ms. Li Na, who was in charge of breakfast buffet. Overall, it is a very good stay and I will come here again.

Excellent Service

The Wanda Vista Shenyang is a very elegant hotel, conveniently located opposites downtown Shenyang, with a nice skyline to watch. Metro, restaurants, bars  and a shopping centre are nearby. Taxi is cheap, for 11-20 RMB you are almost everywhere downtown. Staff gets a taxi in 1-3 minutes, day and night. The shopping centre is nice with many good restaurants.

I enjoyed three different room categories during my stay, ranging from Standard to “Wanda Club” to Executive. All rooms are very similar in size and furniture, except some toiletries, bathrobes, or small decoration which are different. The executive rooms, however, permit access to a very nice lounge with free drinks, breakfast and dinner and a spectacular view at night. The lounge is very elegant and well serviced. Good view, good food, good service.

Breakfast is extensive, people who complain about the offerings I would consider to be very spoiled. 

Pool and sauna I didn’t use too much, appeared not so nice to me, honestly. Cozy atmosphere was missing, was a bit like a training hall for swimmers. There is some room for improvement. 

All service staff is extremely helpful and service minded, they know your wishes even before you ask... Among all staff who were super friendly, Ken from the guest relations department shall be given extra credits. You are doing a great job, Ken!

Two informal tips: 99% of taxi drivers in Shenyang are professional, honest and friendly. If you catch a pirat (esp. from the airport, even with registered taxis this might happen) who wants to charge more than the meter says, simply get off at the hotel entrance and ask the friendly staff to help. They will manage. Price for a ride should not exceed 50 RMB. 

Second tip: head for the ‘J.House’ coffee bar 100 meters to the left from the hotel. Run by Andy, a Moldavian expat, this bar offers international beers, great burgers, and pasta - with a smile. Just in case you are looking for some distraction from the great Chinese food after a while, go there! You will find many interesting people there, from all over the world.

Overall, I would recommend this hotel if the location suits you, it is one of the best in town. 

Very convenient hotel in Shenyang’s Hunnan district

Found the Hotel to be subtly grand in all aspects, right from the lobby to the concierge to the front desk to the elevator to the club floors to the club rooms to the restaurants. People are well trained and communicable which is the prime requisite in the service industry.

Subtle Splendor

It is the small touches that make a hotel 5 star worthy. Wanda Vista Shenyang satisfies that bill. The Wanda Club rooms are very well appointed, as is Zhen, their Chinese restaurant. The private dining room experience and the dishes they have on offer make for a memorable meal. The wine and cigar lounge is a great place to unwind, and if you want to shop, this hotel is atop a Wanda Plaza shopping complex. If you are in Shenyang, you deserve to stay here 

5 star in every way

The Hotel appeared good and the stay was ok, clean but a bit noisy from the street. We checked the Chinese restaurant and the food was ok (Chinese ranking) portion size was jus a bit large.
Bat had beer from Germany as well 68RMB as I remember...

Room ok, gym fine, Food ok

Generally the room was nice and the bed very comfortable. The pool was nice and the gym was adequate. The staff was attentive and helpful. The location was south of central but plenty of restaurants around and convenient to the subway. There were some negatives. The bathroom had several broken things. The breakfast area had good food but the staff has a lot of room for improvement- should not reuse napkins (how can anyone think giving someone a dirty napkin is acceptable?), table should be wiped down between customers, and chairs were filthy. Also, as some other customers have pointed out, the water system in the hotel is inadequate. The shower goes from hot to cold and from good pressure to drips of water. All told, except for the lobby which was opulent, this felt like a 4 Star Hotel. 

Almost Very Good

We are a group of 12pax, we came from Harbin then here next to Shenyang, decided to stay here in Wanda. Lobby is really nice but the receptionist wasn't that accomodating. Our friend requested to transfer us all to a lower floor (still available) since almost everyone from our group are sick already with fever, sore throat and as such. Receptionist told our friend that she will hold the lower floors for us but we need to check the rooms first. After checking our friends went back down again and decided to transfer room..dissapointingly, the receptionist already gave the lower floor rooms to the other guests. With dissapointment, our friend felt so bad and told the receptionist how could she do that. She didnt do what she said! Guess what, the receptionist retaliated by throwing her pen in front of my friend. -1st strike.

We ate in their Chinese restaurant for dinner, we were just asking for mugs for drinking. She gave 2pcs. Our friend asked can we have some more because there are 12 of us. The waitress replied, "How? There's no more?" In an annoyed manner. So our friend replied to her also in an annoyed manner too, "Then how can we drink??". She left and got some more,.placed the mugs in the table  rudely. - 2nd strike.

Wanda Vista hotel..please train your employees on how to deal with a customer. It was a really bad experience.
