We had an amazing time at Villa Silvestre and Playas del Coco! The apartment we stayed in (3) was perfect for us and our dog. Everything we needed was there and when we needed some extra towels, they were happy to give us some. The kitchen was basic but had all of the necessities and it was easy for us to come home and cook some dinner after a long day on the beach. There was only air conditioning in one bedroom which was fine for us because we only needed the one room. The tiny house truly felt like our home for the five nights we were there, it was so cozy, quaint and the perfect size for us. 

There is a grocery store and other restaurants close by if you need to pick up some food or would like to go out to eat. Villa Silvestre is only a 5 minute walk away from Playas del Coco and it is easy to take taxis to other beaches close by (which I definitely recommend doing!) 

I would 100% recommend anyone to stay at Villa Silvestre, we are already planning our trip back!!! Thank you for such a great stay!

The perfect, cozy home!!

We had 5 of us and the little
Villa we rented was clean and comfortable. Gabby was wonderful and met us at the gate. Well manicured grounds and well equipped rooms. Wish we had more than one night here. 

Great little villa 

I spent 10 days at this place and I came out resourceful and in great shape!
Each has a small typical house overlooking a green garden.
The decoration is simple and tasteful.
Daniel and his mother are welcoming and not intrusive. 
The district is calm while being less than 500m of the sea 😊


Calm & authenticity 

Walk to the beach, walk to the shops and cafes, but sleep in peace. We stayed here two nights, after having to change from 4 nights due to flight problems. The owners were very accommodating by adjusting our rate due to our inconvenience and advance notice to them. They are responsive to email communication. We stayed in the two bedroom villa during a very hot week. The AC is only in one room with a double bed. We choose to sleep in the corner room with two twin beds and the fans were enough to keep up comfortable at night. The place is secure, quite and has a beautify garden. It is hard to find anything as welcoming or hosts more accommodating at this price or more. Again - the location is superb. Since we were going to visit family who lived only 1km away we did not spend a lot of time there during the day. We enjoyed the fresh mangos from the tree.
One word about the bathroom. The toilet in our unit is on a pedestal. Being tall, or requesting a stool would help.

A great short stay. So close to everything, yet away from the noise.

We enjoyed the place so much, we are thinking of returning for a longer time.

Place was clean and set in a beautiful garden, a haven of silence so close to the centre of Playas Coco.  The owners were so helpful and friendly.  We could walk to the centre and the local beach in minutes.  Perfect for someone without a car.  We, having a car, visited all the beaches close by, beautiful and quiet.

The two bedroom villa was well equipped, the owner even supplied coffee, water and condiments. (The only false thing was the promise of a BBQ...)  we enjoyed the restaurants nearby, and also the numerous grocery stores, since we cooked most of our meals. 

Well worth a stay, we stayed a whole week, and could have stayed longer.

A quiet little haven close to Manu beaches.

We spent  3 nights at this place. It was  on December 27-29, 22. When we came around 8 pm there was strong odor, kind of combination  of  sewage with cleaning solvent. They intensified each other's scent. My husband asked  Daniels wife to clean it and  she did but its very difficult to clean the toilet bowl if it was not  cleaned ever before. She was crying that  she had to do that job trying to convince us that she paid the cleaning lady for the cleaning. Sure thing but if you cannot manage your cleaning lady you have to do it yourself.  The shower space was never cleaned properly ever as well. Next  morning Daniel's mom Gabby told us that  what we did to her daughter in law was unexeptable because  her son's business partner  cannot clean toilets.  Gabby offered us option to pay  for a night and leave.   Who tryed to find the  vacancy on 28th of December  in Costa Rica? We spend 6 hours of our precious vacation  time trying to find something available.  Next episod. Right from the beggining we told Gaby that we would have guests. Next evening   our friends  who live in Tamarindo droped another couple- our friends  at this place.   These 2 ladies made a gigantic scandal about it.   Daniel's wife even changed the lock on the gate to control our arriving in the evenings. They were affraid that we would leave without payment. Next morning  we paid Gabby money for all 6 persons  and left. It would be funny  if we  would be teenagers but I was the yongest one and I was 60.  Our neighbors, young couple, did not look happy with these hostesses and accomodation  as well.  The villa is worn out completely except entrance doors which you can see on the picture. The owners do not invest money in the property.   Ladies are extremely intrusive  and controling. If you do not want  to spoil  your vacation stay away from this place.

The most filthy, dirty  and  outdated place Ive evere being. Terrible experience with controlling owners.
