Casita Corcovado is a 3-bedroom house conveniently located between town venues and the beach. It served as our perfect base for exploring the rich biodiversity of the Osa Peninsula. Managed with extraordinary service and warmth by the host, Cathy Belair, the house offers a well-equipped kitchen and a relaxing dining veranda. The rooms have comfortable beds and are equipped with fans and air conditioning.  

Cathy's attentiveness was evident in every detail of our stay, from organizing transportation to arranging dining, eco tours and custom guided excursions that provided us with truly unique experiences. We were treated to refreshing drinks freshly prepared by Cathy's charming son, Bennet, from guanabana fruits plucked from the backyard. A perfect experience of Pura Vida hospitality!

Drake Bay's Hidden Gem: Casita Corcovado

I am 9 years old and I am from Canada. My family and I went to Casita Corcavodo and had the best time ever!Cathy was super nice and amazing we were sad to leave

I am 37 years old and from Canada. My spouse and wanted to take the kids to the Wild Osa so we could experience “one of the last best places on Earth”. It was unreal- the friendliness of the locals, the empty beaches, the wildlife but most of all the casita and our amazing host Cathy. Our trip would not have been the same without her help and guidance- she was all of the things- itinerary planner, Spanish teacher, animal spotter, local guide, friendly face checking in at the end of each adventure and setting us off on the next. She even lent us all some clothes so we didn’t get bug bites on our night tour and helped the kids pick out coconuts from her tree and crack the open. The casita was perfect for our family- a nice place to cool down midday and relax in a hammock between adventures and a great spot to enjoy meals at home. This place was top notch and we can’t recommend the casita, the host and the area highly enough!

A gem of a host and a house in the Wild Osa

Highly recommend staying at Cathy's place. She was a great host! She greeted us when we arrived and even showed us around town! Cathy was a great communicator before we arrived and after. She even organized our excursions and activities from fishing, dolphin and whale watching, a night tour, to on-site massages (highly recommend one on arrival and just before departure - they are that good!). Cathy had the perfect balance of chatting with us and giving us our privacy.

Great place to stay!

Cathy is a great host and very attentive.  She met us at the boat, showed us around the area and arranged all our tours. She made everything so easy. Nothing was too much. La Casita is in just the right location. The beds are really comfortable, and the bedrooms are air conditioned. The garden is relaxing and birds visit regularly.

Great host

La Casita is really well located in Drakes Bay and is super clean & most importantly super comfortable beds! Cathy’s attention to detail is amazing - she is so responsive on WhatsApp both before and during our stay. She is utterly charming and organised all our tours and even took us to the meeting points for each. Totally stress free! Highly recommend staying at La Casita.

CATHY THE SUPER HOST

We had a warm welcome from hosts Cathy and Bennett (and from a couple of monkeys) when arriving at Casita Corcovado with our 3 young children. The place was easy to find, in a perfect location with all restaurants and ameneties close by. The beach accessible within à 5 minute walk. The house was super clean, confortable beds with A/C in each rooms, well organise with games and coloring books for kids, even n’inoculâtes were accessible to see thé sils Life of the surroundings. Open air kitchen was Nice for cooking with all the necessary équipement and mostly All new appliances. Cathy and Bennett live right next to the house so super safe and very reactive. They took care of organizing our trip to Corcovado park (miraculously because we were a little late - book in advance!). There are trails directly from the house to walk to Cocolito beach and other beaches close by if you have a 4x4 car. We would definitely go back anytime. 

Clean, confortable and super hosts!

Craig and Jamie are great hosts in this jewel of a destination.  The water is fabulous and across the street so you're in and out as often as you like.  We came at the end of March so the heat was surprising and we were saved by the AC in the rooms.  Lots of excursions leaving from the beach or you can kick back and enjoy the wildlife from the deck.  This was a really good idea.

Casita Corcovado is our Drake Bay hide-away!

We were met by Craig on the beach after Jamie and Craig helped us negotiate the boat from Sierpe and   safe parking there. We were very glad about this as the dock at Sierpe  dies slightly  resembled the space port ruled by JAbba the Hut. There was even a dodgy scruffy American telling us we had to pay park entrance fee to him in Sierpe Ignore him evil trickster. 
On arrival Craig was waiting to walk us the 3 mins walk to our beautiful 3 bedroom holiday home. We were met by Jamie who kindly walked me about town and let my tour operator know I had arrived. The house itself is spotlessly clean and despite my children’s best attempts from snorkelling, horse riding and an overnight trip to Corcovado it stayed like that. It was like having magic faires every small detail was dealt with including moving my washing so it dried. Jamie provided lovely fruit, some coffee, toiletries and as much filtered water as needed. It even has WiFi much to the kids delight as they could send the photos they had of sloths, monkeys, tapirs, anteater and beautiful birds to their friends  in Scotland. We are very widely traveled but this was a real jewel and that is mainly because Craig and Jamie actually care and want you to enjoy all the opportunities . We can not thank you enough for opening your home to us. As a mum the space and facilities just to get a things washed / dried made things much easier. There are many good restaurants all with great cocktails smoothies.ice cream shakes for the kids we are just touring as a family with a 4WD car and we would fully recommend it if you have multiple excursions to fit in.we stayed 4 nights did the overnight in Corcovado, snorkelling today to see turtles,shark lots of dolphins and beautiful reef fish and a horse ride to a waterfall tomorrow. All the trips finish at the beach so you are never more than a 3 min walk to pickup point. They are all small group or just set up for my family so you can be confident that you well get the best experience available If your wondering at being more adventurous with you kids. Go for it.It is worth the forms and the tests.The whole family is brimming with happiness

Superb family accommodation in a wee slice of paradise. This spotless, charming house with it kind hosts is fantastic.

Staying at Casita Corcovado was an awesome choice for my wife and I, we were greeted on the beach by Jamie and given a tour of the house. We had happy hour with Craig and Jamie.... that started an instant friendship! The house is really well set up and isn’t missing a thing, so fun to stay in a mint typical Tico home. We made the trip to Drake Bay for 2 days of fishing and Jamie made the water taxi reservations for us, she is extremely helpful with anything you made need. Craig and I hit it off instantly with our common interests in fishing. On our last night we supplied some Tuna we caught and Craig and Jamie prepared an entire meal for us, that was so kind and delicious! If you are headed to Drake Bay this is definitely a must stay for accommodations! I can’t wait to return next year.

Jamie and Craig were absolutely the best hosts!  They worked with us for over 9 months as we planned the trip and then our arrival.  Jamie organized the tours and made sure we had everything we needed for each one.  We were able to completely unwind and enjoy our vacation stress free.
