Case Lima B&B is a hidden gem within the city of San Jose. The tranquil environment created here is second to none. Having breakfast with waterfall sounds in the background along with the tropical plants is serene. Nelson is a phenomenal host who went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience in Costa Rica. That's not coming from an inexperienced traveler. I have been traveling for over 20 years, 5 continents, and over 10 countries with multiple visits to many. This place exceeded all my expectations and I can see how this business is thriving and will only do better in the future. My mobility scooter was damaged by the airline while coming to Costa Rica and it was a big issue, to say the least. My wife and I tried to find tools and such on our own but had no luck. After talking to Nelson about it, he took it upon himself and proceeded to fix it during our breakfast no less. During our breakfast, of the best banana pancakes we have ever had in our lives, he succeeded with the scooter. The scooter was running and he did an amazing job of securing things to make sure it didn't happen again. It was never his problem and he would have been an incredible host without doing so, but he still went out of his way for us. He saved our trip in more ways than one. We will definitely stay again and even if they were full we would visit just to see him, the amazing lobby, and to have breakfast. I would recommend 10 out of 10 to anyone.

Best authentic experience for the cheapest price.

The hotel has a Great location in a safe area and it is within walking distance to stores. Super friendly, hard working staff. Room was very clean with nice bead. Clean restrooms.
The restaurant is good with some option including pizza!!  The breakfast was great!

Great option near Rhormoser/Pavas area.

This B&B was recommended by the dentist I came to Costa Rica to see. The host and staff were incredibly helpful arranging everything they could help with. The garden with small parrots and very friendly Koi fish is charming and my apartment very comfortable. I would love to come back!

Wonderful hosts!

We could not have chosen any better! If at first we booked it just for its position, already after the first night we realised we were in the perfect b&b place. Rooms are silent, nice, clean, with daily housecleaning and change of towels available. Breakfast is simple but great: every morning we were offered fresh fruit, always a different freshly made juice, bread butter and local fresh jams, and of course coffee (or also eggs for whom wanted to). Staff is extremely kind, professional and smiling, and makes you feel every moment at ease, like at your own place. Of note: the beautiful tropical garden in the middle of the court, so well kept and organised that you might feel like in the middle of a jungle just in those few squared metres. We found out that it is also included among the hotel where you can be picked up for daily trips (at least with the companies we chose). In conclusions: absolutely recommended! Should we be back, I'll for sure book it once again! 

BEST CHOICE EVER! 

Nelson is an excellent host. I had one of his small apartments for almost a month. It was very comfortable. It's a very safe neighborhood right near the US Embassy. It's also only 10 minutes from the center of town by Uber or bus. Really enjoyed my stay there and the hospitality

Excellent comfortable place

Wonderful eclectic BnB.  Great location in Pavas, close to many shopping spots.  The rooms were clean and comfortable.  The food was great and the staff, especially Alex was fabulous, friendly and helpful.  Enjoyed the small inner courtyard with the fish pond, aquariums and birds.  It is a great value for sure for a short stay in San Jose.
We will come back and stay again.

A Great Find and Great Value for a  Stay in San Jose

We arrived into San Jose later evening and left after breakfast the next day, quickly passing through to visit other areas of Costa Rica. This hotel was great, clean, nice & helpful staff. I just loved the central gardens and falling asleep to noises of the jungle but inthe middle of the city. The breakfast was nice, warm fresh bread, jam, fresh juice and fruit and coffee or tea. Location was okay, we walked around and felt safe, but everything closed by 9pm and we arrived after 10.

Just passed through san jose

Casa Lima is so quaint! Every room is decorated differently with bright colours that gave a Costa Rican flare! The court yard is full of tropical plants, a pond full of koi fish and turtles. There is also a aviary full of birds that make you feel like you are in the rainforest. We had dinner and breakfast in their restaurant. The food was excellent and the portions were large. Casa Lima is a excellent value! The staff were so friendly as well. We certainly recommend Casa Lima as it is like no where else! To stay at Casa Lima is truly an experience!

Great Place

The place was absolutely amazing. The staff were friendly, the food was great. We arrived on September 28th and never had an issue. I would definitely recommend this for someone looking for a low key safe area. It was an 1.5 drive to Jaco Beach,  and 1.5 hour away from Volcano Irazu

stayed at Casa Lima 3 times as we traveled in different cities in Costa Rica, we ended coming back to this place where it felt safe, the food was delicious and the staff was awesome. would definitely recommend.
