The family who run this guesthouse have done a great job setting it up like you are staying with friends. The manager Ada treated me (and all other guests that I noticed) with respect and it's easy to feel like part of the family. The rooms have a 'rural farmhouse' feel and the location is great - in a peaceful little village about 3km from entrance 2 of the Plitvice Lakes park.  you can walk to the gate along the main road,  as I did several times, but Ada also drove me there twice for a small fee. She's also a good cook and I'd recommend having dinner there. 

Feels like a home away from home

For our visit to the lakes we decided to spend the night before in this guesthouse for entrance nr 2 is really round the corner. It appeared to be an exellent choice. The landlady gave us a warm welcome and we were pleasently surprised by the fact that she also offers dinner so we didnot have to go out anymore. The room was clean as can be and offered everything one needs. Dinner was great with fresh fish from their own surroundings. Breakfast offered a small buffet but with everything one can wish for. One thing must really be said: This lovey lady does everything on her own. The rooms, breakfast, dinner, the lot, amazing. Here is a big thank you very much to you dear lady for you made us feel at home! Home from home

Great host, very helpful, hapily going the extra mile for the guest. The rooms are more than satisfying and there is AC! Would definitely recommend to anyone seeking a bit of silence and a great place to stay for a good price

Great place to stay

Located only a couple of kilometres away from the second entrance to Plitvice Lakes National Park, it's a great place to stay in if you plan to visit the area or if you just want to enjoy some peace and quite in the Croatian countryside. The room was clean, comfortable, with a rustic feel, and it had all the facilities we needed for our short stay, including a balcony so we could enjoy the views. The owners were also very friendly and welcoming, and nice enough to prepare our delicious breakfast very early in the morning. 

Enjoying the Croatian countryside 

We stayed two nights in three rooms whilst visiting the park. Rooms were clean with en suite. Family run guest house in lovely location. Family friendly and they all chipped in as only some spoke English.
Breakfast very good.
For the price and location this was overall excellent.

Stayed two nights great guest house

We stayed for 2 nights whilst visiting the lakes. Great location if you have a car - a little far out if you don’t. It’s a few minutes drive or a 20 minute walk along the A road, so for us (or anyone without a car), it would have been better to stay in the accommodation at Mukinje. The rooms were clean, comfortable and fully equipped, although the WiFi wasn’t working and there is no AC (however the rooms stayed plenty cool enough during our visit in late May). Friendly hosts (the lady even gave us a lift to the local restaurant on the first night), and we enjoyed our stay very much. The only thing that let us down was the lack of local information - as in there is only one shop in Mukinje, and it closes at 3pm on a Sunday. We made the 20 minute walk, only to find the store shut. There is nowhere else to buy groceries, but luckily the accommodation does sell water and the all important staple - cold beer! The surrounding countryside is beautiful, would recommend for a peaceful stay. 

Good value, clean and comfortable 

This guest house is situated close to the lakes so ideal to get to. The room was fine and clean but the bathroom was very small. Staff were friendly, the breakfast really was buffet style and basic especially the Sunday night however on the Monday we had an omelette which was very tasty.
The good thing about this place is that they have a little restaurant about 2 miles down the road in their other accommodation.  We had a fairly simple meal there both nights we stayed but the price was reasonable and the food was good and home cooked and we enjoyed ourselves

We spent one night there to visit the waterfalls. The room was clean but there wasn't toilet paper in the bathroom, they didn't tell wifi password, there weren't curtains so at 6 am it was daylight, the room didn't have a/c so we had to open the windows because it was almost 40° but there weren't mosquitos nets and it was plenty of insect at night. The staff was no friendly and in the end they also charged extra money for the dog (first time it happened since we have been traveling) even if we wrote it in advance. Worst stay in Croatia so far, which is a pity because the Plitviče waterfalls are really amazing.
