We stayed here for one night and the host, Savanna was so nice to us. What touched us most was what she did after we visited the lake. Many parts of the lake was closed due to heavy rain and flood. So there were not too many places to hike. Actually we already checked out in the morning and was about to get our baggage and leave at ard 4pm. But it was so cold and rained so heavily that we finished early at 2pm with no where to go. We went back to the guest house and Savanna let us stayed in her home and even cooked us some soup to keep us warm after the cold and rain. We were so touched. We know that she didn’t need to do so coz we already checked out. But she still treated us so well.
She also drove us to the bus stop! Just want to thank her again for being so good to us!

Located 15 minutes from the entrance one of Plitvice Lakes National Park. Comfortable and decent guesthouse. Clean and equipped with furniture and electrical appliances Stunning view from balcony. Wifi and cable TV available. Mr Sven provided advice for exploring the park and restaurant nearby. Barvo

Brilliant guest house with stunning view of waterfall

We stay at this place every time we travel to Croatia. We like it very much. Hosts are very nice and helpful. The place is perfect for children. If you want to visit Plitvickie Jezera it is also convenient since you can walk to the main entrance.

Perfect place.

Location is perfect, just a short walk away, allowing me to arrive at National Park entrance 1 at 07.00, thus having the big waterfall to myself for almost half an hour. I prefer a firm bed and this was just firm enough, allowing me an excellent night's sleep.  

The owner was extremely helpful, providing useful information and directions in the event that – as proved to be the case – parts of the park were closed due to excessive rain.  

The lady of the house went above and beyond expectations by providing provisions for me to make sandwiches for the following day, given I had arrived after the local supermarket had shut. This was particularly welcome given my early start.

A home from home

Guesthouse Sven has got the location you want!  Just a 10 minute walk to Entrance 1 of Plitvice Lakes National Park, your first view of the big waterfalls comes as soon as you walk down the Guesthouse's driveway and look across the street.  

Small and with pretty grounds, this delightful place was great for my one-night stay.  My room on the top floor was a comfortable space; the bathroom was tiny but very clean.  There was a kitchenette available, but all food is on your own; thus, the price felt a bit high because of this.  But just down the road, the next guesthouse has a restaurant where I had one of my best dinners while in Croatia.

I didn't have much interaction with the owners or staff but they were certainly friendly and I'd recommend a stay here while visiting Plitvice!
