Wonderful location.  We arrived a couple of hours before check in and were grateful we were able to check into our room.  We had been up very early to catch a 6 a.m. bus to Dubrovnik.  Our bus dropped us off at the Pile Gate which is the closest point of entry to the property.  There is no reception so you do need to advise arrival time for someone to meet you there.  The room was spotless and the bed very comfortable.  One thing that must be mentioned is that the room is on two levels and you do have to go upstairs for the bathroom, tea and coffee making facilities and the desk.  This isn’t really an issue but good to be aware of.   I would suggest that the window upstairs should have a blind.  Quite a bit of light came in at night and I like a dark room to sleep in but that is just personal preference and not a criticism. We had a room with a lovely view from upstairs.  The location is close to everything.  Great cafes and restaurants nearby.  There are a number of steps to climb to get to the property.  We left our luggage at our previous hotel that we were returning to after Dubrovnik and just took a small backpack each.  We are in our 60’s and were glad we did this.  Sadly we were only there for one night and would definitely stay again.  Great value.

What A Location!

We stayed at the Dubrovnik Sweet House last weekend for 3 nights.
We were met on arrival and shown to our room - there are 2 rooms.
The room was bright, airy and finished to a very high standard.
The air conditioning was excellent 
The bathroom was light bright and again finished to a high standard.
The house is easiest to get to from the Pile gate - so make sure you get dropped off and picked up from there - or be prepared for lots and lots of steps!
Great communications by email when we had a question to ask.

Excellent

We stayed two nights while exploring Dubrovnik. It is a great spot, at the southern end. 
The famous steps are two mins walk away. The quieter entrance to the wall is closest too. 
There are a few steps up to get to the apartment - and you need to ring ahead and confirm arrival time as it doesn’t have a front desk etc 

Very quiet place. We were in room 1 which was under another room. You could hear people moving about upstairs but nothing too noisey to impact sleep. 

Great shower and wifi connection. Comfy bed (two singles attached together)


Lovely spot in the seas side end of Old Town 

Dubrovnik Sweet House was perfect for our five night stay in Dubrovnik - we loved it! It’s split into three private apartments & is perfectly located in a quiet street in the old town. Our apartment was absolutely beautiful; stylishly decorated, extremely clean & very comfortable, with everything we needed. It was easy to arrange our transfer & arrival time & we were met outside the old town by the owner’s son Gino, who gave us a guided tour en route to the hotel & some hints & tips. Helpful, friendly owners & a beautiful old town apartment - perfect & thoroughly recommended!

An absolute gem - recommended!

Our stay at Dubrovnik Sweet House was amazing. The owners were so accompanying working with us on our flight/arrival time and meeting us outside to walk us through old town to our apartment. Our stay was incredibly comfortable and clean. The apartment was so nice and spacious. The location is prime! In a few minutes walking you’re already in the main areas of old town by plenty of shops and cafes and some museums. We loved being able to walk right out of our apartment and be so close to everything. We would absolutely stay here again!!

Right in old town

We stayed here for 4 nights in September. What a fantastic location in the middle of the old town.
There are a lot of steps to get to the accommodation if you’ve luggage to carry. 
The room (No 1) was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The only negative we had was that the walls are so thin you can hear everything. We were very unfortunate with two sets of people staying above us. The first  were up from after 5, talking loudly, walking about and generally making noise. They checked out after our first night but we had another group who liked to party. 
So unfortunate we had little sleep the four nights we stayed. I managed to get ear plugs for our fourth night which thankfully helped but a little too late.
So disappointing as otherwise the accommodation is perfect.

Great location but lack of sleep 😞

The room we stayed in was lovely.   The shower was perfect.   I especially enjoyed staying in the old town.  It was easy to find using google maps.  There are stairs but there are far more to reach other parts of Dubrovnik.  Location is extremely convenient and quiet.  Check in was friendly and easy.  My only complaints are that due to lack of storage there should be hooks to hang things on in bathroom and room.  Also the apartment has 2 floors with a small sitting area with just a desk and chair.  There is a small window with an amazing view of the walls in that area.  In my opinion  a small loveseat should be in this space instead so a couple could comfortably sit here together.  I sat at the desk and drank a glass of wine but it was not that comfortable and only one person can sit there at a time .  I don’t enjoy solo drinking.  If you go to Dubrovnik I recommend staying in a sobe in the walls. The town was so much quieter at night than during the day. 

It would be perfect with a couple of tweaks 

We were told to call before arriving. We did but no answer. We waited 30 minutes and called again then we got the owner. The internet door mechanism was not working, we were obliged to wait 40 minutes that someone comes. Then internet in room was not working. I called again and owner ask to relaunch wifi router.
It s just not friendly the way it s done and we left the day after without any call etc.
The room is nicely decorated BUT it's not a big queen size bed , it's 2 SEPARATE bed put close together and if you are a couple you have a hole in between. THIS IS NOT MENTIONNED IN THE DESCRIPTION. 
Last but not least the bell of the main church is at 10 meters and ring at 7 am .....

So bad experience but well renovated room.

Good location within in the city walls but you can literally hear everything that is happening on above floor e.g. you could hear the full conversation that's how this the ceiling is! Do not expect a great nights sleep! When I asked about potential noise upstairs the vendor reassured me that you hardly hear anything - this is NOT the case!
