The apartment is a bit hard to find first time you get there,Google maps wasn't very helpful, but once you know where you are, the location is perfect. Like anywhere you stay, there are A LOT of steps to get to it. It's 5 min walk from Pile gate. The room is very clean, comfortable and quite. Lydia is very kind and always available to help. There is a fridge and a kettle and she Provided coffee and tea. Nice, powerful shower. We didn't get the room with a balcony , but tbh, there is so much to do that you don't even spend time in there and the view was beautiful.
One important thing to note, she does NOT accept card payment. Bring cash.

Would definitely stay again

We upgraded to the comfort room with view - the bed was huge and the view gorgeous. The bathroom was also accessed through a small entrance hall off the bedroom giving a sense of space. Lydia and her husband were very helpful and were keen to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The location is just outside the old town with lovely views and is close to shops, bakeries and a short walk from the beach.

Great location and lovely room

We had a lovely corner family apartment with balcony 2 bedrooms
Bathroom fridge and kettle
We bought bottles of water and milk
For our morning tea ,as there are no breakfast facilities, but we asked lydia
For cereal bowls as we wanted to buy cereal from the supermarket which she happily gave us,along with spoons and a free carton of milk
So we bought some croissants and cereal from a supermarket 5min walk away directly opposite pile gate
I think it took us about a 10 min to walk to pile gate (the entrance to the old town) 20 mins to banje beach,
10 mins to supermarket,which is opposite pile gate and opposite the supermarket there's a bakery cake n sandwich place if you don't want to be
Paying for restaraunts every day
We found the souvenirs cheaper if 
When you walk through pile gate instead of walking straight up the stradam turn right walk along to the end then turn left ,it's not on the main
Pathway stradam so it's cheaper
Also I wish I got my kuna before I left
London I took advice on here saying use atm machines, in London I could 
Of got 8.60kuna for £1
There atm machines gave you around 
7.40kuna for £1 e.g. I got 800 kuna for
£265.Dubrovnik is beautiful 
We did a Mostar and kravice falls 
Tour which was probably our best day


Beautiful view 

Rooms Lydia, located a five minute walk from the Pile gate, is a perfect location for exploring Dubrovnik and the surrounding area. The rooms are well appointed, large, clean and bright with a small balcony and sea view. The owners are very welcoming and helpful and there are tourist information booklets and maps provided in the room. We were staying for a short city break and would loved to have stayed for longer!

Lovely Rooms - Lovely Owners

We stayed at Rooms Lydia for three nights. We arrived at the ferry port and took a taxi, luckily, because we were exhausted and he knew to drop us above the location and not below. Many places are not accessible with vehicles and Rooms Lydia is one of those places. If you take transit to the drop off site, you have about a 10-12 minute walk uphill to get to Lydia's place. No matter how you get there, it's worth it. Lydia is so friendly and helpful, we were immediately comfortable. She even bought us a bottle of wine to enjoy on the patio which overlooks the sea and the walled city. Location is excellent. The bed was also excellent. The room and bathroom were kept spotless as well. 
We also met the little turtle that lives in the garden, cute. 
Because a taxi can't access Rooms Lydia and we needed to leave for the airport at 4:30 A.M., Lydia suggested we ask the concierge at the Hilton Hotel, just down the hill, to call us a taxi. It felt a little awkward but we did and they were very accommodating. We tipped the gal at the desk, (the concierge was gone for the day), and she was very appreciative. Best part, the night desk was expecting us and the taxi arrived! Great stay! Oh, Lydia also made a great dessert and bought us some, Stracciatella, delish!

Perfect

Great location, room was MASSIVE and very airy. We stayed in the two bedroom suite but only used one room. Very good price for what it was. Hosts were very nice. Perfect place. Would highly recommend staying here.

Loved this place

Lovely rooms with ensuite. Small fridge to keep drinks cool. Air conditioning and a small terrace with a view over the old town. Lydia and her husband were very helpful. They gave us beach towels, figs from the garden and carried our bags down for our airport transfer.
A short downhill walk to the old town. A few steps back up not too bad.
We were made to feel very welcome and would love to visit again.
