One day is enough to visit it, it has many apartments that are close to the waterfalls on the way to the waterfall observatory and also in the town below. 

Spectacular views and you should take a jacket because sometimes it is cold due to the waterfalls, it is recommended to first see the waterfalls from above at the highest point and then go down to the track below

The pictures aren’t lying! This place sits right on top of a waterfall.  I was literally awestruck by the setting. The house has a long history, but has been updated to provide everything you need in a fairy-tale setting.  The owner, Darko Buneta, is very friendly and fun to talk to. He is more than happy to offer you any help you may need, but he is cautious to not bother you.   Everything is spotlessly clean. One morning we got up and there was a lady ironing the sheets!  Now that’s a whole new level of cleaning!  
There’s a table and chairs on the balcony so you can sit and enjoy the scenery, a small fridge, access to a microwave, extra blankets and pillows, everything you would get in a hotel. With a setting you will NEVER find in any motel! 
I stayed here with my childhood friend first, and then came back with my husband.  I can honestly say I have never stayed in anything as special as this place is. Darko doesn’t understand the fascination with his place because it is all he knows- as this house has been in his family for generations. We should all be so blessed!  Most people  will never be able to own a place like his, but thanks to him, you ARE able to stay there and experience it.  I highly recommend Rooms Buneta in Rastoke- Slunj, Croatia!

Number one place to stay in Rastoke for a good reason!

Location: In a fairy tale like village right next to one of the prettiest waterfalls in Rastoke!  

Cleanliness: Impeccable. You could eat off their floor it was so clean and tidy.

The owner is like the Plato of Rastoke. Very helpful and has a very insightful mind. I enjoyed all of my conversations with him. 

Rastoke has no taxi service. If you do not have a car, you have to walk / lug your own luggage to and from the bus station area in Slunj which without heavy bags is an easy 15 min walk. With heavy bags, 20-25 minute walk.

I regret not renting a car and being tied down by bus schedules. So rent a car when traveling the interior.

Rastoke is an amazing place to visit! We stayed for two days, spent the night in rooms Buneta. Darko, the owner, was very helpful with the info. Gave us all the necessary details in just a few sentences. Rooms were exceptionally clean (very important notion to me), cosy, new and spacious. There's the tv with numerous foreign programmes to choose from, mini fridge - very convenient, basic dishes, extra sheets and pillows and extra blankets. The small sunny balcony was my favorite thing about the room! Very nice to just sit back and enjoy the scenery. Waterfalls and splashes are very peaceful to listen to at night. The house is situated in the center of Rastoke, everything is close and there's a parking spot reserved for guests. 
Highly recommended! We'll be definitely visiting again!

Charming

Absolutely loved Rooms Buneta. Massively spacious rooms and bathrooms - amazing amazing beyond belief location and the friendliest of friendliest hosts. Our overnight stay was just not enough - cannot wait for a return visit. Thank you Tea and husband!!!

Big bright room just above pretty little waterfall. view to lake to one side and cosy cafe and waterfall from other window. the room had 4 windovs.

Tucked right beside a small waterfall, filled with tranquility and freshness. The decor may look retro & traditional, it is very clean & well kept, suitable for a stopover to Plitvice Lakes. The owner is very friendly and welcoming, totally worth a stay here! 

Rustic family home

Rooms Buneta offers two rooms. We opted for the larger room which has a terrasse that looks down onto the river below. The rooms are comfortable though perhaps slightly dated. We could not figure out how to close the external shutters and there are no curtains inside the room, so privacy and evening lighting was an issue for us.
The building is traditionally constructed with wooden flooring and panelling throughout. This gives the home a quaint and appropriately dated feel.
This a is good base for visiting the Rastoke/Slunj streams and numerous waterfalls. 
Despite the above comments we would not hesitate to return here or recommend Rooms Buneta to anyone looking for an overnight stay.
