This is easily the best hostel I've ever stayed in, and I've been through many in my traveling days. Friendly staff, clean facilities, nice and modern rooms with a/c and great wi-fi. Very fair pricing. I see no point choosing an expensive hotel instead, unless privacy and solitude is of importance. 

10 minutes walk downtown and you find yourself in the fantastic Old Town of Split.
This hostel is highly recommended!

Excellent stay, very good.

We were two girls staying at Hostel Like Me for a few days in Split in the end of May. After changing hostels constantly while interrailing the past month, this has definitely been one of our favourite hostels and we even ended up staying a few days more than expected. Very friendly and serviceminded staff, small and cozy atmosphere, very clean and modern rooms, nice facilities, 5 min walk from the old city/centrum. So down to Earth, really something to recommend 

Cozy

Staff here were very friendly. I felt the rooms were small but reasonable. The bed wasn't all that comfortable however and there was a funny smell in the kitchen so we didn't use it. All in all I felt it was good value for money in a good location

Staff nice

Location is absolutely great. Not that much parking spot and unclear if the street goes on or not (I think not). Rooms are small but tidy. Common area is very small and kitchen as well but there's not that many rooms so I think it's ok. Bathroom was very clean and good WiFi.

Rather small but great location

To start with there is a lot of false advertising, it is advised that there is a kitchen and that you will receive a free welcome drink, neither of which is true. The "kitchen" is a microwave, which makes self catering difficult.

Secondly there are only 2 male and 2 female showers for the whole hostel, so often there are long waiting times. On top of this the shower heads do not attach to the wall and tithe hot water rubs out very quickly. 

The icing on the cake is that we were over charged and despite questioning this with staff this was not resolved before we left.

Only as a last resort

The only positive about this hostel is the location as it is a 5 minute walk into the centre. We’ve stayed in many hostels and this one was poor. 
Other than that we weren’t impressed. 
None of the room doors shut without being locked so the door had to constantly be open. Our room was right next to the toilet and so we had a vile smell in our room for the entire 3 days. The kitchen had a strange smell too which didn’t help. There was no natural light in the room or window and so all of our luggage smelt of the toilet/kitchen smell. Air con was poor and didn’t cool the room down in 30+ degree heat. There was minimum hot water during peak times of the day and if there was some hot water it didn’t last the full shower. The shower room didn’t have a lock on the door, this was okay for us as we were a large group but solo travellers have to shower with the door open and only one curtain separating you, the toilets are basically in reception too so many people use them at the same time. 
We struggled to find staff at times when needed assistance with navigation around Split. 
We have no WiFi in the room and very weak WiFi in the communal areas. 
Overall we weren’t very impressed.
