After reading a lot of reviews for this place, i was a little sceptic. I have bought a gift certificate through a auction site last year and needed to use it for a romantik get away. I almost didn't go because of the reviews, but I am SOOOOO glad we did. 
Arrived to cake and coffee, got our rooms, that was fine and clean (Comfort rooms). Went down to buy a beer before dinner, very sweet waitresses. When it was time for dinner we had their 5 causes dinner with wine menu. They call it gourmet menu, and I agree - i have a past as a chef so i am mayby a little bit more tuff to impress. The food was very good and nicely cooked, good combinations and well seasoned. Their bread was so delicius, a nice tuff crust and lovely saltet. The winemenu was perfectly balanced for the food and we god a nice presentation for each course and wine. The waiters refilled the wine in glasses and at the main course we got offerd more meat/potato/sauce.
They have a 1600 m2 kitchengarden where they grow some of their own food, impressive. 
We ended the night with a coffee and petitfours. We would have had a gin and tonic after, because the ones the table next to us had, looked fantastisk, but couldn't hold any more alcohol this night. 😂😂 
I was glad that we went, and thanks for a great stay.

Impresses

Ny experience Can be svarede in two. The food is just outstanding, -well prepared and very tasteful and the young waiters were as well very polite and knowing. The rooms  on the other hand were NOT impressing, we were placed in what they called hotelhuts - rather similar to the hits you will find in many campingsites.

Fantastic food

The package deal was upgraded to a luxury room which gave us a spa tub and large sitting area on the first floor. Excellently prepared and presented dinner with spices and veggies from their own garden. A 15 minute drive into the town of Aabenraa we found a wide open beach with well maintained facilities and child-friendly bay waters.
Have to agree with other reviewers though, that the coffee served, both for the afternoon welcoming cake and at the morning buffet, is bitter. The only minus in a otherwise surprisingly comfortable stay and delicious food.

5 course vegetarian option

A very well kept hotel in a small charming village close to the German border. Nice outdoor area with a big garden, a small vegetable and flower area behing the main building, and across the road a number of huts also part of the Inn. Our room on the ground floor was large and comfortable, excellent beds with white crisp sheets, sitting area, desk and chair as well as good lightning. Good size bathroom . Hotel situated in a fairly quiet location. Excellent breakfast and dinner all with a personal touch and high quality food and ingredience bringing this kitchen to a very high level combined with an extremely bunch of passionate and professional staff. Restaurant was full each night so book in advance. Dogs are welcome

A CHARMING LITTLE GASTHOUSE

We had an excellent room, actually more like a suite. The staff was all very helpfull whenever we had questions. 

On the day of arrival the restaurant was fully booked, and we had made no reservation prior to our arrival. Nevertheless the staff found a table where we could have an dinner with some good wine. They only had the dinner of the day in the restaurant, no a la carte, but that was not a problem at all. The food and the recommended wine was all very good and tastfull. 

We had one more good experience in the restaurant, this time with a reserved table.

My only negative remark is the area for the morning buffet, it is a little too small. The guest was blocking each others passage around the buffet.

Nice hotel

On a sunny Friday, we arrived at Christie's Inn. We start with coffee and a"Sønderjysk lagkage" very good. At 1830, we sit at the table in a fine room, specially for us 16 persons.  We enjoy an Top rated Gourmet dinner, 4 dishes. Uuuhm 👍. The room, restaurant and staff is fine and take care of the visitors. I think there were around 60-70 visitors at Christie's when we were there. But only calm at the Inn. Try it out. I recommend the place Christie's. 👍

Diamant wedding party

We had booked a two-night stay with some friends and had booked dinner both evenings. Friday a three-course meal and Saturday a five-course meal with wines was pre-booked. We also stayed at the hotel and was given little detached cabin like on a campsite ....which was a bit primitive, just a bed and a bathroom (which didn't work very well as we ran out of hot water ....). The cabin turned out to be quite nice anyway as the weather was brilliant and it allowed you to sit outside for a bit of sum (and bubbles ...). 
Friday evening dinner was okay, we chose to also add wine menu first evening at it was good and plentiful, no greedy small glasses of wine. The Saturday dinner was significantly better, very nice food, great wines and very well run service, we truly enjoyed the experience. However, what could really enhance the  overall perception would be a nicer atmosphere, the dinning room was very bright and offered no privacy or nice ambience. Some plusses and some minuses but all in all worth a visit. 

Improved over the weekend

We bought a special deal - afternoon coffee and cake, 5 courses dinner and winemenu, room and breakfast.
The afternooncoffe wasn't good - it seemed like a trafficpoint; people everywhere and no chairs avaible...
The food was very good and the waiters amazing and so funny.
We got a small cabin - it seemed like a scoutscabin - it was horrible !
Be sure to get a room at the hotel..
