The pictures looked lovely but reality was even better: the location, stunning garden, overall atmosphere, food and team running Pension Langebjerg made us happy about our choice every day.  You're also minutes away from the beach and stunning, rugged seashore... passing other charming-looking places along the way - but that just don't have the same special feel to them. We definitely hope to visit again!

A perfect hideaway

Revisited after 7 years. In the meantime this charming B&B has been through a needed refurbishment respecting the original building and it’s speciality. The new owners are very welcoming and service-minded. 

Stayed in a rather small but nice, clean and quiet double room with garden view. No lux but very comfortable with a small functional bathroom. Quite basic but nice breakfast. A home-feeling lounge/service area and a large terrace/garden with sunbeds etc. 10 min walk to 1st class nature at the cliffs of Hammeren and Sandvig beach. Recommended for relaxing stays.

Relaxing

This was our third trip to Bornholm and second stay at Pension Langebjerg, however this time it was with the new owners and we had our toddler with us. We can only recommend Pension Langebjerg, the shared common areas are nice. The rooms basic but comfortable, but don’t expect anything luxurious. Breakfast is great, and if you have the opportunity to have dinner there I would recommend you do it. They don’t offer it every day though. We had some really delicious old school danish pot roast chicken with an unusual lemon sauce, potatoes, salad (mormor salat) and a lovely dessert. The garden is also nice. I think we will come back, we really like Bornholm and this pension is special. The young owners are very welcoming and have a passion for it as well as cooking ( also bake their own lovely bread etc). So consider this if you are fine with not living in the center of Allinge.

Hidden gem

This guest house is absolute charming. Located in an old train station and run by a very hospitable young couple. Half of the charm comes from the hosts who spend a lot of time on their guests. The other half is great food and historic surroundings. The third half is Sandvig, Allinge and the rest of Bornholm😊 Great place for both short and long stays.

Back to basics

It is a pension and in a small town, but it is charming and more than enough for a trip to Bornholm.  My room was bright and sunny with a garden view, very clean and accommodating. There is also a sort of a living room for everyone's use with comfy sofas and gentle light in the evening. The owners are a pleasant and sweet couple and the breakfast served was fresh and a great choice. Although I only stayed one night, I managed to enjoy it a lot.

Charming and enjoyable

Small and cosy B&B in the old railway station with views to Hammeren and the sea. Friendly and attentive host. 

Got a small but just OK single room, basicly equipped. Would be nice to have a small desk with chair. Very small bathroom that needs update (water all over when showering). However, the basic standard corresponds to a surprisingly low room rate.

Nice garden and terrace. Breakfast rather basic but good quality, served in the very nice and clean dining room. All in all: Basic but good value for (basic) money.

Hospitality in Sandvig

It's important to note that the resort isn't in Allinge.  Rather, it is located in the twin town centre of Sandvig, 2 km away.  We arrived late on a Friday night from Helsingborg, Sweden.  

Unfortunately, we missed the evening's dinner (served M/W/F) which we were told is a fun tribute to the heritage of the property, a former train station.  Also, we took a taxi from Ronne, which is not advised as it is very expensive (450 Dkk).  Other points to know from our stay:
- there are no housekeeping services on weekends;
- the WIFI was not very easy to access.  There is a computer provided, but since we were staying in a separate building behind the station, we did not have ready access to the computer nor the lounge after hours i.e. no key was provided;
- breakfast (included) is served only from 8-9:30 am. While the food was good, there was a notable lack of locally-produced fruit such as blackberries and blueberries.
- bike rentals are available nearby at a cost of 70 Dkk/day.  
cycled to Gudjem the first day (30 km, return) and then hiked to the lighthouse and Hammerhus castle ruins on the second day - both we highly recommend.

Gitte was helpful when we had questions, but did not spend much time interacting with the guests.  Overall, I recommend a trip to Bornholm, and this is one of a number of accommodation options to consider.
