We stayed here one night during our bike trip around Bornholm and had a fantastic stay. Tine gave us a warm welcome and also helped us find a good smokery for our dinner. Rooms are good clean, the garden is simply amazing, breakfast was delicious, and we just overall felt very welcome. I would definitively stay here another time!

Simply a wonderful stay

It is a very nice B&B (you may skip the breakfast if you really don't want it but it would have been a bad choice - the breakfast is great here) in the northern part of the island. The owner is simply WONDERFUL. You can spot a hare visiting the yard. The bikes can be rented here. I felt welcome, taken care of and in paradise :)

Great place to stay

We just got home after four wonderful days on Bornholm.
We booked 2 rooms (a double for me and my boyfriend, and a single one, for a good friend) at Tines Gjestehuz in March, in good time, to be sure that we would have had a place to sleep during our holiday.
We must say, that we never really look after the most luxurious stays -because we are counting on being out most of the time-, but yet we look at the reviews.
This place seemed to be very nice, and the idea of a nice garden, and of the location, attracted us, as well as the prices.
At our arrival, we met Tine, the owner of the place, and we had been taken to our rooms.
We payed the whole stay of four nights + breakfast at once, but we could also pay afterwards, before leaving.
The endless hospitality, the kindness of the owner, of the staff, and of the customers themselves, made the whole holiday very pleasant.
The garden is big, and we had there dinners (bought at the different take aways in town), and chilled, drinking a cola, or a beer.
I had personally spent a lot of time on the hammock, reading a magazine and relaxing.
The rooms are comfortable, big enough, without tv (no worries, there’s a tv room, if you really can’t live without), and without frills, but surely relaxing, and clean.
The whole area is surrounded by animals: wild bunnies, baby deers, pheasants, and it really made it feel like a gate away, like when I was small and going to visit my grandparents in the countryside.
Breakfast is served at 8 o’clock, and it’s a rich buffet of Nordic food (rye bread, eggs, tuna mousse, cheese, jam, bio fruit, juice, coffee and a good variety of tea).
Sure, it’s not included in the price, but it’s totally worth it (you wouldn’t find it any cheaper anywhere else anyway).

The hotel is located not far from the centre of the town, and all the good places to visit on Bornholm are really easy to reach (Hammershus, Opalsøen, Dueodde, Svaneke, Gudhjem).

Enjoying simplicity 

The Tines Gjestehuz was comfortable and quiet, a nice world away with easy access to peaceful outdoor spaces. The breakfast buffets featuring lots of local herring was delicious, and there's a good honesty bar the rest of the day. The hospitality and good advice given by the owner and her friend + associate was very much appreciated. The Gjestehuz is located right next to a convenient bus stop, which made coming and going very easy. In addition, there were lots of paths and biking routes nearby. It's easy to see why people return to this place!

A Fantastic and restful stay

Even in the thick of January where all of Bornholm is in deep hibernation (the population is 6 times bigger in summer; nearly everything is closed on Sundays and Mondays), Tine loves what she does and this place is the perfect fit for her.... this evident passion reaches the guests, the breakfast, the walls, the environment, everything.

The room is clean, simple, but this isn't why you stay here. You stay here for the privacy, the personal touch, the stunning property (it just FEELS like Bornholm in a microcosm with all its little hills, rocks, views...), and the location is also ideal for long walks and access to two beautiful little towns.

We were the only people there and - I must admit - perhaps we were just very very lucky to have all of Tine's detailed attention. I can't expect her to keep up with all her guests' requests, but for us two, she was magical. She prepared a wonderful breakfast spread for us, took all the time in the world to make recommendations, and even shared with us a bit of the passion which brought her from Norway to beautiful Bornholm.

I stayed at Tines Gjestehuz for two nights last spring. Everything was perfect: Good room with good bed, very good breakfast with many different choices and the hosts were the best, friendly and nice to speak with about every thing. They also gave me good advises about what to see.
