We had to rebook a one night stay at the last minute. We received a warm welcome. All staff were very helpful and the breakfast was excellent. We would happily return. The hotel is well located being no more than a ten minute walk to the town or the beach.

A welcoming and comfortable stay.

We’ve been to Hornbaekhus’s restaurant many times, and always have a nice experience when we go. The lunch is great and the service is very nice. We had the best ‘fiskefilet’ the last time we went. The location is amazing, and you can easily take a walk on the beach between lunch and afternoon coffee.

Amazing lunch

Really nice place with wonderful design and atmosphere. Felt at home immediately. Enjoyed the social dining, both the food and the company! Dived into my book finally. Didn’t miss tv for a minute. We went running witte the lobe club on Tuesday morning. We plan to come back in summer.

To really come to rest

A fantastic atmosphere and location. Very close to Hornbæk beach and “town”. 
The hotel is kept and decorated with old things but still with up-to-date room. Food is great and homemade. Would like to come back again on another summer day. 

Great place

We stayed for three nights in July 2018. 

The hotel has just been renovated and the result is great. Rooms are very cozy, bathrooms with high standard. Beds comfortable, pillows perfect.

The breakfast is served at the table, nice for a change not to have a big buffet.
Staff very friendly and service minded, we highly recommend this hotel!

Hotel Hornbaekkhus - A place in the Danish sun

Good place in an old building. Good breakfast and rooms are ok. We loved the general areas in the building and the nice neighborhood, the closeness to the port area.
What I do not like is the inflexibility in the dinner. Arrived on a Sunday evening and did not even have the right info about where to go to find something.

Good hotel

A very traditional and unique boutique hotel. I really liked it but the fact that the food menu was limited and very specific every day annoyed me a bit. Only Danish dishes. Overall I would recommend it for a weekend getaway nearby the beach of Hornbaek.

Nice cozy authentic

A very personale and lovely Hotel at the northcoast of Zealand. We used the Free bikes for a tour. Next Morning great breakfast and Nice service. The dinner is a set dinner very Informal and autentic like Food for sharing

Lovely gem

Looking for a coastal residence with nice surroundings...?? Close to healthy baths, nature experiences, cultural activities and city trips to Helsingör and Copenhagen....?? Add to that...good sleep and relaxation, excellent breakfast and dinners with gastronomic touch...!! Look no further....!!

A gem among culturally enchanting Danish summer residencies....!!

This wooden hotel, build in 1904, and renovated in 2018, are as cozy as it can be. It is located on a villa road with nice houses in a quiet nabourhood. 
With only thirtysomething rooms this make it cosy and a feeling of home. The new owners wants this hotel to be a place to relax and also be close to the other guest if that is what you want. The dinnertables are long tables, and you can enjoy the company of other guests. But there are plenty of space to be by your self also. Find a chair by the fireplace or in one of the two gardens. The rooms are nice and well decorated - and simple, with free Wi-Fi. Note there are no TVs in the rooms or in the hotel at all. For some reason TVs are not missed. 
There is a 5 min. walk to a large beach, and the small town of Hornbæk is one minute walk away.  Helsingør (Elsinore) are 8 km. away, and Copenhagen 45 min. drive away.
