My family did not have any reservations and found this little gem. The rate was great and room was recently remodled. It is labeled as a hostel but it has 5 private rooms with varying capacity. It was very clean and the services were outatanding. The owner is a tour guide and not only provided a great facility but was tremendously helpful in getting us accquainted to the islands and sites to see. She also provided contacts for us to schedule tours and taxis. The location couldn't be more perfect as you can walk out the door and cross the street to the warf where you can watch fisherman bring in the catch of the day. There also sea lions and marine iguanas basking in the sun. Anything you need while in town is just a few steps away. The main pier for water taxis is a 5 minute walk. The Darwin Center is also within walking distance. I would highly recommend this Hotel.

Great Hotel/Hostel that is in the perfect location with the best service!!!

We stayed at this hotel on a whim and my wife and I loved it!  Everything is so clean and the rooms are well equipped with A/C and huge beautiful bathrooms.

I highly recommend this place to anyone traveling to the Galapagos as it was a nice home away from home.

Clean, great location, high end rooms at good price

If you aren't on one of the expensive cruise boats, you are probably trying to see the Galapagos on a budget. Consider staying at Gloria's if you want a hotel a few steps above hostels. It is clean and well managed. The air conditioning was much appreciated. The proprietor, Anthony, speaks good English and so can help those who have forgotten or never learned their Spanish. And as a bonus, the matriarch, Gloria, runs a sewing shop next door and will do repairs on just about anything, including the sandals I brought along only to find my dog had chewed the strapping as a parting gift. The price was $25 per person per night. It's located a few blocks from the busy harbor section of Puerto Ayora.
