A lovely setting in a pleasant village.
Reception was very friendly and our room was very good, looking out over the garden, although perhaps a little dark.
We enjoyed an excellent dinner in the hotel's restaurant but one has to walk outside to get to it (and it was raining).
The only disappointment was the breakfast, soulless, very little choice, poor machine drinks etc.  It was a pity to leave with that memory!

Lovely hotal in super grounds

We stayed at the hotel for a wedding. The food was excellent and grounds out of a novel. The rooms were not as large as one would expect, but the staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely coming back.

Great Restaurant, Good Rooms

We arrived here a sunny afternoon. We were surprised when we drove thru the gates and were met by a beautiful garden, surrounded by the old buildings. The room was very nice and comfortable but not luxury. The dinner was very good.

A night in Artres, in the north of France

We just decided for a dinner. And got a great table outside.
Took the   menu for 32 euro.
Starter Terube was well prepared and good taste. Main dish Fish of the Day was a white fish who's was cooked correct - taste and juice were there.

A good dinner

We stayed in this hotel for a weekend and we took the gastronomic arrangement. It is a nice but small hotel with 10 spacious rooms. The restaurant is very good with excellent dinners. Breakfast in the morning is a well-equipped buffet. We enjoyed the food both evenings. The cheese platter is very good. We will certainly come back.

Very good hotel& restaurant in a quiet place

First things first - our dinner in the hotel restaurant was very good, although we’re still waiting for our 2nd carafe of water and some finger wipes!

However, we were disappointed with our room. This was the 4th time we had stayed at The Gentilhommière and was our last night in France at the end of a celebratory holiday, so we’d hoped it would be as good as on our previous stays. We were in a ground floor room for the 1st time and, although the room was clean and tidy, it was in need of some tlc and general upgrading. One of the curtain hooks was missing, so the curtains sagged. There was no soap in the bathroom and, when I asked for some, none could be found and we were given shower gel instead. These probably seem trivial matters but meant our stay wasn’t what we’d expected. It would appear that the hotel is now focusing on the wedding trade and its setting is ideal for that. Hopefully things will improve as far as the rooms are concerned as we wouldn’t consider going back until that happens.
