We have recently stayed here and it was by pure chance that we booked last minute. The whole place is absolutely beautiful, it’s like a work of art. We stayed in a Christian Dior themed room. It was so beautiful; it smelt amazing and there were so many little extras like sweets, biscuits and lovely hand cream. Breakfast was as beautifully served as the bedrooms were, the only downside was that you were sat all together on one large table but that didn’t detract from the delicate little pots everything was served in and the fresh peach and pastries for breakfast.  The gardens were relaxing and again beautifully maintained with little areas to eat if you wanted. The host was very welcoming without being intrusive. All in all you won’t be disappointed. A fantastic little gem of a place to stay.

La Clef Dort - a place of art and couture

We book this room last minute trying to find a cheap place, but not too "budget look a like" for our weekend getaway to Normandy and Mont Saint Michel. 
My friend was a little scared as first because he never went to a guest house, and think we may have not too much privacy, but it wasn't the fact. Every room have it's own private bathroom. 
I think we got one of the biggest room (there is four in total). the theming was about Yves Saint Laurent, with empty bottle on the table, and sketches hanging on the wall. 
Only downside its that the apartment of the owner was under our room, and we can hear his TV from behind the wall/floor.
The breakfast is including in the price. Its a continental breakfast with plenty of choice : Pastry, bread, marmalade, cereals, juice, coffee, hot chocolate...
The dining room have a Disney theming with hundred and hundred of figurines / statue of character, classified by movie.
The Halloween/automn decoration was still on, and were super nice. 

The host is very discreet, but super friendly and helpful.

We will definitely come back, for more than a night that time !!

Beautiful B&B, Cheap and with amazing decoration

Spent a very enjoyable week at this wonderful B&B.
Fortunately it was within a fairly affordable price bracket for us. 

It is a beautiful building, and Bruno has clearly put a lot of thought and effort into the decoration in order to make it feel very homely. Spotlessly clean throughout, with WiFi, large en suite bedroom, comfortable guest lounge area. 
Deceptively large and well groomed gardens, so it was easy for us to find a secluded area to enjoy an evening watching the sun go down with a bottle of local wine/cider. 

Relatively convenient location near a useful road, and we were able to drive to the key Normandy sites (Mont St. Michel, Bayeux, cider orchards and D-Day beaches) as well as some beautiful local towns. Convenient restaurants a short (15 min) walk away producing some excellent food.

Bruno was an excellent host, being extremely warm, welcoming and attentive. Very keen to help with advice on the local area.
We were greeted every morning with an extraordinarily generous breakfast with wide selection: pastries, fruit, baguette, cereal, yoghurt etc.

Would thoroughly recommend this B&B to those keen to visit Normandy, either to spend some time away from the large cities, or with a view to visit the main Normandy sites.

Excellent

We needed an overnight stop after leaving Mont-saint-Michel on our way up to ferry at Cherbourg. We wanted to visit the bell foundry at Villedieu-les-poeles and hadn't had any success in finding a reasonably priced B&B there. I booked La Clef Dort in advance and when we checked in we were given an upgrade to the more expensive room as no one was staying in it. The room was beautiful, immaculately clean, lovely attention to detail (super bathroom) and tea/coffee making facilities which is a real treat in France. The owner was friendly and served us breakfast next morning, there was plenty to eat and we were also offered eggs along with the usual continental fare. The only downside for us was that there wasn't anywhere nearby to eat (at a cheap price) so we picked up so goodies for a nearby supermarket and had them in our room, I would certainly stay here again, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to you !

Beautiful B&B

I understand that this is an exceptional place to stay but be careful when making your reservation. I tried to cancel just a few minutes after making my booking which was not for another 3 weeks and they still charged me 50% of my stay! Not a very sensible move nor a good business practice knowing that they will be fully book for the D-Day commemoration...
