This is a charming hotel with beautifully designed rooms. Very spacious and comfortable. We received a warm welcome and excellent restaurant recommendations. Lovely breakfast. The best croissants in France. 

Beautiful hotel 

We stayed for 2 nights while visiting the Tour de France in the Pyrenees. 

The reception was very warm with friendly words and welcoming drink. This former hotel combines all comfort and anonymity of a hotel with the cosyness and warmth of a bed and breakfast in France. A separate entrance and very large room with airoc and fridge offers all privacy and comfort you need 

Breakfast on the terrace is nice and beautiful. 

When visiting try the restaurant Makila situated at the street at the back of the B&B, delicious food, good wine and pleasant service. 

 Splendid experience

Friendly Hostess and her equally friendly Mother greeted us upon arrival.  The Esplanade is a renovated ancient Maison.  The staircase is beautiful and our room was large with lots of character details.  The ensuite bath consisted of a large walk-in shower, toilet and sink.  It was large enough to be comfortable.  The Wi-Fi is also very good.  Our hostesses guided us to the breakfast room and also showed us the way to the downstairs ‘whiskey bar’.  The whiskey bar is actually a regular café (bar and you can get meal at lunch time).  The bar is operated by the husband (we think) of our Hostess.  Our hostess also referred us to a very fine restaurant (Le Makila) two doors down from the Maison.   Breakfast at the Maison was typical French breakfast fare…. Croissant, and fresh bread, butter, jam (one large pot was homemade cherry jam), yogurt (fresh from a nearby farm in Valentine), tea, coffee and juice.  As we were leaving we were given reading material for Albi, our next stop.  In summary, our hostess was extremely friendly and helpful, the Maison was beautifully restored, (with an elevator for those who need one), rooms were large, pristine and full of character (fireplace and ancient wood floors). Breakfast was good, bar was convenient and the referred restaurant was excellent. It is located in center of a lively village.

Stopover on a long trip

This is a lovely chamber d'hote.  Our room was very chic and stylish and also very comfortable.  There are absolutely stunning views of the Pyrenees from the bedrooms as well as from the breakfast room, bar and terrace  And our hostess and her daughter were charming.  Nothing was too much trouble for them, to the extent that they very kindly helped us out with a problem that we had (nothing related to our stay).  They went above and beyond any requirement of hospitality to assist us and we will always remember our stay very fondly indeed.  Highly recommended as a place to stay.

Great place to stay - higly recommended for its charm and style

We were very well looked after in this traditional provincial home. The owner is rather eccentric (in a good way) and added to the good experience. Large and clean rooms with great views of the Pyrenees.

Charming mother and daughter greet you at this hotel in the centre of St. Gaudens.
The chambre d'hotes is right next door to the hotel and has internal access to the hotel
and shares the bar area for breakfasts.Below is a simple good value brasserie open for lunches.The room we stayed in was spacious with a very comfortable bed and large walk-in shower.Parking was no problem and is next to a church and a pleasant square.
We certainly would recommend and would be happy to return.
