Lovely B&B in a great location. Fabrice was an excellent host. Our junior suite room was gorgeous, with high ceilings, a small balcony and many amenities. Close to the tram but you can also walk to many sites. The parking is right around the corner.  This is a tiny guesthouse in a historic old building that has been tastefully restored, so don’t expect a hotel. It’s charming. also includes a light breakfast of croissants, juice and yogurt. Perfect!

Charming B&B with excellent location and parking

Accommodation in L’Invitation Au Voyage was excellent . We were staying in the family apartment on the 3rd floor , spacious and beautifully decorated . Fabrice is a very friendly and helpful host . We booked stay very last minute and needed late check in and nothing was too much trouble , thank you !

Excellent

Had a lovely 2 night stay at this hotel. A fantastic location to explore beautiful Bordeaux. Our room - the Place Royal suite was comfortable and the bathroom and separate toilet were spotlessly clean. It has a small balcony with just enough room to sit out side and drink your coffee watching the world go by. Breakfast was delicious- a perfect French breakfast. Yummy fresh croissants, fantastic bread, a great selection of jams and my favourite french butter! Yoghurt, Juice coffee etc. Fabrice was the perfect host, helpful and friendly. Shame we couldn’t stay longer.... 

Great stay

We spent a week in Bordeaux to visit family and stayed in the Place Royale on the first floor.   The room was exactly as described: very roomy, with a 10 ft ceiling which made it appear even more spacious.  The location is within walking distance of major attractions, with the tram 3 minutes away for farther away places such as the Cité du Vin, or les Chartrons.  

Fabrice is an incredibly thoughtful host.   He sent a video of the first room we had reserved to make sure we understood that it was quite small; as a result we went with the larger Place Royale.  He sent clear instructions for how to get into the room.  Finally, he was there for our insanely early, by French standards, breakfast hours.  He also had great suggestions for what to see and do while in Bordeaux.

Beautiful place, great location, excellent host.

We stayed in family apartment on top floor with our 16 year old daughter. The apartment can accommodate 2 children in bunkbeds and there was a cot and sofa bed in the sitting room. So in theory up to 6 plus baby (useful if you have a larger family). There was a fully equipped kitchen with everything you would need. Bed was very comfy. A light airy sitting room with a proper table for eating. TV - french only. Fabrice was a great host and had very good english.He could point us in the right direction for things to do. We were able to store our luggage in the inner lobby as we arrived very early and also left our things there safely as we had a late flight back.Big supermarket within 5 minutes walk for food. Literally in the centre of things in Bordeaux. A 1 minute walk to nearest tram stop. The Musee of Aquitaine not much further and only 5-10 minutes from the main shopping area.

quirky B+B , very central.

This is a lovely old property; we had a spacious and elegant room, perfect for a few days get-away in Bordeaux. The owner could not have been nicer (even with our being messed up on arrival thanks to British Airways). The breakfast is good, the location convenient. (There is no elevator, so be careful with big/heavy bags.)

Beautiful property and great welcome and care

After looking for a place to spend the night close to the centre ville in Bordeaux I stumbled upon this chambres d'hotes or B&B.  I was curious to know why they didn't show a view of the outside of the place, but upon getting there I discovered that it's a long and narrow space with nothing remarkable about the outside, just its plum colored door.  After an initial mix-up all went well.  Breakfast was included in the reasonable room price.  I would definitely recommend this for an unusual stay.  It's like being in an old stone renaissance house.  There's no place to sit and relax other than your room, so don't be surprised.  It's just a lovely place to sleep and eat in the morning.

Lovely inner courtyard steps and hallway that make you feel like you've stepped back in time.
Leftover food from last guests still in fridge. This was sorted out quickly with lots of apologies.
The room was large and very well dressed lovely comfortable bed we had a balcony which was great.
The only let down to stop this place from being Stellar was breakfast.
We got a croissant each which granted were nice. Some bread, yoghurt and a selection of Jams which again were nice.
Got coffee served in a stainless steel flask the type you might get at a team bonding session.
A bowl of fruit would have been nice, Cheese, Ham, even some fresh flowers to brighten the dining area.
Shame really


Bordeaux city break

This is in a very good location close to restaurants and the city centre. It is a quaint building with nice furnishings which are kept well. The breakfast is basic but nice. However, if your room is near the stone stairs don't expect a good night sleep as it is very noisy and you can hear everybody coming in and going upstairs.

Good location, nice property but very noisy.

Exceptional bad experience in total, hoast highly unprofessional.
First we booked on Expedia, hoast contacted  us by sms and email to cancel there and book direct. Created a lot off stress and confusion in preparing for trip.

Room is nice but you hear traffic noise.  

No personal interaction or welcome, just notes and instructions in room. Parking complicated without assistance.

We got much better experience and more central location at  real hotel.
