I'm not usually a fan of travelling, and I am definitely not a fan of places with lots of people. 

Senonches is a perfect little place for me. This time I was travelling for work purposes, and I was very apprehensive about where I would be, and where I would be staying. But! This hotel is absolutely wonderful!

The rooms are beautiful, the town is beautiful, the food is beautiful, the people are lovely and welcoming!

Even though I was working 12 hour days at our local business office, I still had a wonderful week. 

Every night I came back to the hotel there was a roaring fire, beautiful food, friendly owners and staff, local beers, and a great atmosphere. This is definitely somewhere I would return to with my family to have a nice, quiet break. 

The chef/patron/owner is very friendly, and very skilled in his craft. I've had numerous meals and each one was beautiful and cooked to perfection. 

A wonderful experience that should not be missed if you are in the area of Senonches. 

Words alone cannot describe what a great stay I have had. 

I'm going to be leaving tomorrow morning very happy and fulfilled!

A beautiful location in a lovely quiet part of France

We stayed one night at the hotel on our way to the Loire to visit family.  The hotel is very quaint with narrow stairs up to the rooms.  The bedroom was well equipped, ours was slightly small but that didn’t bother us.  We also had the dog with us too.  The 5 star part about this is the staff and particularly the chef.  The evening dinner was simply Devine. Even after having a starter and main course the desert was so gorgeous I could have kept eating it if I had had room. Red fruit soup!  Lovely quiet little town on the edge of a large forest.

Great find when travelling to the center of France

This was our 2nd visit to this very nice, old Auberge. The hotel is a nice, clean comfortable place to stay. There is private parking within very pretty gardens. The best thing about staying here is the restaurant, it is superb. There are a variety of fixed price options plus a la carte, with a decent, reasonably priced wine list. The cooking is fabulous. I love this place, probably the best food I've sampled in France. Breakfast was nice too!

Nice Auberge, Fabulous restaurant

After watching the Tour de France pass through Chartres at nearly 6 pm, my husband and I set out on a 3-plus hour drive to Bayeux.  We were hungry and hoping to pass a cafe along the way for a quick bite.  When nothing materialized, I utilized the "restaurant" function on GPS.  It routed us to the small town of Senonches and the restaurant at Auberge La Pomme de Pin. Arriving outside our destination, we looked at the unassuming Inn and sighed as we pushed open the heavy wooden entry door - perhaps we'd get a decent soup, bread, and cheese.  But after we passed through the door into this small but charming Auberge, and walked out onto the terrace where we dined, we were bearing broad smiles.  This place is a jewel.  The meal started with a tasty amuse-buche featuring a sweet tomato jam.  Along with the smooth, rich Bordeaux recommended by our server, I then had the gorgeously plated tournedos of beef, which was delicious (if somewhat undercooked for "medium," as is usually the case in France) and my husband had the filet (same criticism).  The other components on our plates - a spinach "purse," a small, transparently thin cucumber slice wrapped around what appeared to be, and tasted like, a mushroom mousse, and purreed sweet potatoes - were each delightful in their own right.  For dessert, my husband had fresh peach ice cream which he described as the best dessert "by far" that he had in France, and we had a lot of great desserts.  My choice - a dark chocolate pastry with hints of orange served with a crispy tulip and a candied orange round, was also fantastic.  When you're hungry, have a long way to travel, and have to rely on GPS to find a dining option, stopping for dinner can feel like a long-shot gamble.  But then you discover a delightful place like Auberge La Romme de Pin, and you remember that sometimes, it is a good idea to take risks.

A Delightful and Delicious Discovery

Accommodation was very nice inside ,  tastefully done for the old building. The car park was hidden from the public view but must have been stunning in summer with the ducks swimming  gracefully in the water stream.  The car parks was locked at night so if you are concerned about your vehicle it is in the safe pace. There is a small free town car park in front of the hotel. The food in the restaurant was amazing. The quality of the product was out of this world. The try to use as much local ingredients as possible and even grow some themselves or on a family farm. 

Excellent stay, very good attentive host

This hotel is in the centre of an attractive, small French town. The room was pleasant and comfortable (even a kettle!). It is very worth while having your evening meal there, as tbe food is excellent. It is not plain cooking but we both enjoyed absolutely delicious, different dishes. I have a number of food allergies and found that they were most understanding. The staff were very friendly. We will make a point of stopping there again.

Lovely, friendly hotel

This old coaching inn offers comfortable rooms and excellent cuisine. The chef/patron is justifiably proud of his menu which he personally explains in good English. There is a private car park and breakfast is also good.
