My husband and I spent 4 wonderful nights here. So peaceful after the hustle and bustle of Antibes. A great place to base yourself for travelling around. Our host Marie-Paule made us feel at home and we had leisurely breakfasts with her each morning. Highly recommend. 

A home away from home

Marie Paule and Didier treated their guests like family! We try to stay at B&B's when we travel and this was the first time that the hosts sat with us at breakfast every morning. On nice mornings all the guests sit outside on the patio for breakfast. They went out of their way to be helpful. Others have written descriptions of the property so I will say that they are "right on". We have wonderful memories of our 9 days with them and highly recommend Jardins Fragonard. Also, their dog is friendly and loves to play. At breakfast you can see him inside looking longingly at the outdoors and wishing he was there! Thank you again Marie Paule and Didier for your outstanding hospitality.

Perfect location for a visit to the Cote d'Azur

The two of us spent 8 days at this B&B in the Fragonard room. This room is very spacious, beautifully decorated, has a minifridge, microwave, picnic basket, free wifi, toiletries from the provencal perfume factory "Fragonard". There is a large flatscreen TV, a French armoire, a chaise, and lots of space. There is no phone and no A/C in the room, but two huge windows, one of which gives to the garden. It was a perfect setting to relax and enjoy the Cote d'Azur. From Cagnes, one can take a bus or a train to Nice and surrounding villages and cities. The nearest bus stop is a 3 min. walk downhill, but you are better off walking down towards the Police station where is a square with all the bus lines. Don't miss the Haut-de-Cagnes medieval town by free shuttle (44) and a ride to St Paul de Vence further up in the hills. This B&B is almost next door to the Renoir museum. There is a small Casino convenience store about a 7 minute walk away, also open on Sunday. One drawback is that if you are on foot (no rental car), returning to the B&B involves a 15 min. walk from the bus station uphill, then a very steep 2-min. walk up the driveway. If you have transportation, this place is absolutely perfect. Even without A/C, the room never got too warm in the summer, and cooled off at night. Breakfast is at 9am and all guests meet up around a big table on the veranda and chat with the owners Marie-Paule and Didier. One cannot help but feel among friends after one shared breakfast. The owners also speak English and are extremely accommodating and kind. Every part of the large garden holds a focal point, and the pool is inviting at all hours of the day. Very appropriate for a romantic getaway.

1920 house, period decor, beautiful oasis, friendliest hosts

Marie Paul and Didier, hosts of Jardin Fragonard, go out of their way to welcome you and meet all your needs. We loved eating an excellent continental breakfast outside in their lovely garden.  The room and bath were very spacious and comfortable.  The only downside were the mosquitoes that arrive late afternoon.  We would definitely return!

Charming and Hospitable

An amazingly beautiful mansion, tucked away in a boring neighborhood. Wonderful grounds make it easy to relax. Fantastically friendly, caring, and helpful hosts Marie Paule and Didier. Hard to believe you can stay at such a beautiful place for so little money. Room furniture is a little tired, but gives the place character. Nice to have a fridge and tea kettle in the room.

Charming, Relaxing, Friendly, a Beautiful Place

We would really rather not tell the world about this gem...a truely perfect example of Provence hospitality and joie de vivre.  Gorgeous, larger than average and quite unique rooms, all characteristic of the Province / Renoir flair.
Lovely public areas, billards, books galore on the Cote dÁzur, beautiful gardens, pool, and an honour bar with wine and beer at wonderfully enjoyable prices.....
The owners, Marie Paule and Didier, were magnificent hosts and made us feel incredibly welcome, and went out of their way to accomodate us.
Breakfast is a community activity, where everyone (including the owners) sits together and shares a perfect French breakfast (wonderful breads, croissants, several jams, fresh fruit, yogurt, and the best dam coffee my husband has ever had!!)
A 10 min walk down hill to the town from where you can get a bus into Nice for €1 euro. If you rent a car, it is a  10 min drive from the Nice airport.
