We are on. Cycling tour of Bordeaux and stopped off for a wine tour and tasting. Eva took us on a very interesting tour, explaining the history, what grapes are currently growing and showed us through the winery. We finished this excellent tour with a sampling of the current wines. Such an informative tour and beautiful setting. Well worth visiting if you are in the area.

Well worth a visit

The service was exemplary, we were given an impromptu wine tour and given the history of the Chateau.  The owner saw us watching the sunset from the garden and brought us a bottle of wine and figs straight from her garden and it was excellent and very romantic.  It was quiet and very restful.

Amazing location on a working winery in the Bordeaux region

This winery has been under the care and passion of a 5 generation family. It is situated in a beautiful country location where you can see  the vines growing. and chickens strolling the yard.It was too early in the growing season for the grapes to appear.🍇  The tour, discussion and short video and wine tasting was very well done. 
Our tour group had a delightful  delicious dinner with the scrumptious .The delightful owner, Valerie Labrouse, gave the tour. Her passion and perfection is evident. She should be very proud of continuing her family lineage of producing delicious wine, The story, ambiance, wine and food made for wonderful memories.. April 28,2018

10 Wineries in 9 months -This my favorite!

We visited this chateau as an optional add on to our tour to Bordeaux and it was a stand out experience. An attractive old house on an elevated site overlooking its vineyards with the winery behind. We were shown the vineyard with good explanation of management practices and then taken to the winery to see the equipment for winemaking and an explanation of the processes. 
We viewed a short informative film in our language and then tasted some good white wines.
After that we were seated comfortably at tables and served the best wines of our Bordeaux experience and an excellent dinner, particularly the duck breast bbq'd over vine canes for additional flavour.
I understand the business is proposing to establish a BnB enterprise and welcomes visitors. Seek it out. The wines are excellent.
A most enjoyable and impressive experience.

Best experience of the tour

I stayed here for one night on my way south. It is a lovely place - beautifully maintained. I came on short notice on a public holiday. Still the owner offered a nice basic dinner - just what I was looking for and a good breakfast.  It is a bit of a drive if you're just passing through but well worth it.

Great place

Our group came here for the wine tour and a farm to table dinner.  The hostess is one of the descendants going back several generations and she is the representative of a hard working knowledgeable women versed in wine growing, making and managing a thriving business.

We toured the vineyard and the plant before going for dinner.  The food was excellent and the wine was good and plentiful.  It would have been nice to ship the wine home, but the cost was prohibitive.

Wine tour with Dinner

Our tour came here for a winery tour as well as dinner.  Our hostess is a truly amazing lady.  She runs the winery, a B&B, hosts groups for dinner and cooks many of the items being served.  Truly a wonder woman.  First we toured the vineyard that has been in the family for about 150 years.  Next came a delicious meals with most of the items home cooked by our host.  We enjoyed the wine so much that we bought some to take home.  We were even tempted to send a case home.  Shared it with local friends and they asked where they could buy it.  Probably would need to travel to Cardan to purchase it.

Excellent wine and very nice dinner

The B&B has a wonderful location in the wine-growing area, with a great garden and views onto the vineyards. It has only three rooms, in the chateau, which is also inhabited by the owners (whose main business is to grow, produce, and sell wine; speak English); parking is at the house.

My room was spacious and nicely refurbished, fitted with some antique-style furniture; unfortunately, it was missing a dressing mirror in the room. Toilet and bathroom (separate room) were also not fully private – access was via the common area, separated by a folding screen. The bathroom had a good size; the shower head could to with a de-scaling…

The bed was ok; there are two pillow types to choose from. The window was equipped with external shutters, keeping the light out completely. Due to the location, it is also very quiet at night – in principle ideal conditions for a good night’s sleep.

WiFi was a constant on-and-off – not really usable for longer than a minute or two. No TV in the rooms, either.

The breakfast is nothing to write home about – a bit of bread and butter, one (!) marmalade, a yoghurt, some juice (self-service from a common fridge), and of course coffee; no cereals, no cheese, no ham.
