This was a wonderful, peaceful, beautiful place to land after a flight in from the states. It is a beautiful spot. The room was pleasant and comfortable. We opted for dinner, which was family style. (Americans, take note: you'll sit down at an appointed time with the other guests and you'll be presented with the dinner the chef cooked.) It was delicious. Breakfast was also excellent. The host was pleasant and welcoming. Very convenient to Chambord.

Wonderful place to start our trip

We stayed here with our 3 kids. Le Moulin has very nice clean rooms and is a authentic french B&B. The owner provided great advice on where to visit and have dinner. She was also able to provide reduced tickets for the chateau of chambord and blois. We rented bikes directly on location to cycle to chambord which was great. Le moulin has a nice pool area and ping pong, billiard and table football as well as a tennis court. Lots to do and enjoy! On sunday night we had a lovely mean at le moulin as well. Wonderfull experiance overall!

Wonderfull start to explore the loire valley

Excellent location close to Chambord, a nice old building, formerly a mill sitting by a river. Mme Harraut is very king and helpful, she cooks a delicious breakfast. The bedrooms have different and decorations, all very cosy. The weather did not allow for outdoor activities, but bycicles are available, as well as a tennis court

A perfect escape for a week-end

This B&B is located in a small Loire village. The area is very big and we staied in a nice room  the main house, near the swimming pool. We always had a tasty breakfast with hand made croissant, bread, cake and cookies served by the owner. 
There is also a recreation cottage with a big playroom for children and a pool. Owners are very kind and could rent bike for exploring the neraest Loire' Castels.
This is the perfect place to relax!

very nice place

Nice stay in the Loire Valley, in a old and charming watermill. Reception was very welcoming and the room nicely decorated small though. What you should know is there is a campground attached, which could be during main season an issue. But all in all worth the money.

Peaceful location

Great situation, beautiful setting with plenty of outdoor areas and a lovely swimming pool. The room was beautifully decorated and the new shower excellent. Superb value for money and a good breakfast to boot. We cycled most days to different places-Natalie recommended us an excellent restaurant and made the reservation for us. We should have stuck to this one every night. Thoroughly recommended.

A great base for exploring the loire

Close to Chambord, place looked nice on the website. Host did not so much, when we booked two nights. 

Same thing when we arrived. Reception was messy, and host was not particularly welcoming.

The room : a curtain used a separator with the bathroom, with direct view on loo.
A simple door could be a big + indeed.

Spider webs left on purpose. Mattress could be better, bed could be larger and wardrobe more functional.

The breakfast : very average. Do not come before the schedule, you'll get reprimanded.

The place  : had and still has potential, but some parts are messy. 

The swimming pool : see, web pictures can show a distortion of reality ...

The host: why bother to be welcoming, and patient with guests ? because those are recommended and appreciated soft skills, especially when managing a B&B. 

Getting some coaching could definitively help to improve the customer experience, life coaches are so knowledgeable...

Average breakfast, awful welcome, place could be nicer

Owners are rude and inhospitable. Provided poor quality dinner and breakfast - there were hardly anything to eat, both at dinner and breakfast. We had to ask for paper napkin, towels. They laid out wine for two people even though they saw that we were three. At breakfast, they gave vienoiserie (little croissants) for two people even though we were a party of three. Breakfast table contains of no food. Too bad for you if you are guests, they already got your money! We never come across such stingy hosts and who could not care less about service. The old woman was particularly unfriendly and hostile. She could not wait to get rid of the guests.
The breakfast table is right next to a trolley which they used to collect food garbage and cleaning stuff - so guests eat next to cleaning appliances. It is worse than a school cafeteria, and it did not occur to the owner that such thing is terrible. Probably they are used to it, and have no idea what service should be.
The room is new, but cobwebs cover the windows. Towels are very thin, get wet as soon as it touched anything humid. Very poor bedding, the bed linen is so old that the surface of the cloth is rough and when you swipe your palm on it, your palm hurt! The small bed in the room for 3 people (which the site uses to boast the place) is terrible: it produces horrible, loud cracking noise when one moves on the bed (even slightly) waking everyone up in the night. 

A terrible place in every way. Inhospitable, stingy hosts. Very poor service (if one can call it service)

We paid for our dinner at a price similar to restaurant price. They fed us with barely enough to eat, and the name of the dish bears no resemblance to what the dish contains - poor quality and stingy.
Same with breakfast. The coffee machine does not work. We are three people and they gave us the same number of viennoiserie as for a party of two people. On the breakfast table there were hardly any food! The stinginess is throughout, not just in meals. In the bathroom there is only one container of soap, so you have to bring it to the shower to take a shower, then wet your feet to bring it out to the basin to wash your hand.  Towels are paper-thin and old and dirty. The bedlinen is terrible as it is over-used and has not been replaced for a long time, so you can feel the roughness of the sheet on top and bottom! The windows are covered in cobwebs.
We brought to the attention to the owners various issues, and they made no efforts to understand the concern. They have gone into hospitality business and have no hospitality whatsoever! They give food to us - for which we paid a lot for - as if they give us favours! The attitude and behaviour of the owner's wife is deplorable - beyond description. We were three but they put out only 2 sets of towels, and we had to asked three times before they finally brought the third set. They put only wine and glasses for two people as well, even though they know very well we reserved and paid for three. 
The whole experience is unprecedented in the bad treatment by the hosts that we could not wait to leave as soon as breakfast was swallowed (not much was given for breakfast anyway, so it took no time).
A rip-off in all dimensions. Especially the inhospitable, unfriendly attitude of the owners.
Avoid this terrible place!
