We arrived after closing of the reception, we used the “key ATM” the machine had some trouble with restarting but after 10 min we got the key, we stayed with a 3yo and a baby, the baby bed was provided for free and they put some candy for our other child on the bed, super nice rooms, recently updated with new bathrooms, smelled nice and new. Very clean.

When we discovered the location of the hotel, we were a little concerned.  It seems to be located in an industrial park far from everything.  However, this hotel offers great amenities.  First, we arrived on a Sunday when everything seems to be closed.  The hotel had informed us that we would not be greated by staff, but rather by a machine which was quite efficient.  We had a nice room, a little small, but comfortable.  The hotel offers a nice swimpool.    We were about 6 minutes from downtown Saverne.  It is also located along a cycling path that goes to Saverne (the hotel offers bicycles but we did not try one) .   The breakfast at this hotel was really good, and at a good price.               
We also had dinner there one night, and the food and the service was excellent.  My daughter has several food allergies and it seems like this was the only place where they seem to understand it.  They even presented us with an allergen table for all the ice cream and sorbet options.    I definitely would recommand this place.

Great place

We had been let down by an incorrect reservation elsewhere so were delighted to find this small, gem of a hotel in our hour of need!
It has 40, simple rooms with shower and is rated only two star - BUT, and it's big but, it offers a wonderful welcome, good food, a quiet setting alongside the Rhine-Marne Canal and a pool, fitness room and meeting space, free car parking - and more.
It offers very good value, too!
We were so fortunate to find this simple but charming hotel where we enjoyed a good evening meal and a hearty French breakfast: just ideal for the weary traveller.

What a find!

Very warm welcome . The hotel is run by a family. Family rooms for four people are very good value for money. The room price even includes usage of a sauna and hamamm. During summer time a large swimming pool is open. 

Most surprising is the restaurant menu. You need to reserve in advance and when we stayed there the restaurant was fully booked with locals and hotel guests. The food is regional with flammkuchen and changes frequently. Deserts are also very good and you have a large choice of speciality ice cream flavours. The really surprising part is the selection of digestifs. You will find a really interesting choice coming from regional producers and special whisky distilled in France and also Rum from different island including Bermudas.

The hotel is conveniently located close to the highway.  

Fantastic hotel and surprising restaurant - ideal for a  stop over 

We read reviews about the quality of the local food and headed over. The hotel was immaculate, modern, eco-friendly, and smelled AMAZING! Then we ate the food... by far the best meal we had the entire trip! And the breakfast buffet was as great as any breakfast you would order in a non-hotel restaurant!

Five Star Hotel and Restaurant

Just stayed for one night with the kids (passing through). Very friendy staff. Good french breakfast (so no scrambled egs, no bacon, no sausage, no beans,..). The indoor pool seems nice but not tested, close to the big autoroute ans quiet at night. Rooms clean en every thing in working order. The menu restaurant was temporarily closed but we where informed via booking.com. At the reception we received a town map (Saverne) and a list of restaurants. The town of Saverne was suprisingly very beautiful (building, castle, squares,...) and there are are nice bars and restaurants everywhere.

We got to the hotel in a down-pour and were warmly welcomed. There is a secure bike garage (being improved), the bathroom's heated towel racks dried everything out and before dinner the swimming pool and sauna were a treat for tired bodies.  Our dinner was picked from a nicely chosen and interesting menu. At each stage the staff were highly attentive even if quite busy. What's more it's not expensive! A canal side room is probably a plus from where you can see the boats and the bike path.
