When you arrive at the B&B you'll feel immediately at home. We were with a party of 5 and made a reservation for 1 double room and 1 appartement. We got 2 appartements next to each other so that we occupied the whole top floor. 
On our retour home we had another stopover at the B&B and we got the same 2 appartements although we had just a reservation for a double and a triple room. 
IT is a 10 - 15 minute walk to the centre of Le Crotoy and the port side from where you have a nice view on the Baie de la Somme. You have several average restaurants at Le Crotoy. 
The breakfast at the B&B is not for the early birds. You can enjoy a simple breakfast at a large table for all guests from 8.30h on. 
WiFi is free but poor reception.

Whilst heading from Le tunnel to Brittany, we decided to travel an hour on the other side before having a stopover.  Le Crotoy is a lovely little seaside village, stepping back in time and facing the larger seaside town of Sainte Valery sur somme across the bay.  Sitting just outside the village, is this hotel.
we arrived late, as the hotel is family run and reception hours are limited, yet we were met with a joyous smile and friendly face.  The room was huge, helpful as we foster a child in a wheelchair.  It had a kingsize and a single bed.  The toilet was separate from the shower room.  The best part was the patio doors onto the big shared patio outside the room overlooking the garden.
Breakfast was served in a communal kitchen, where guests can mingle, or, like us, we took the breakfast back to our room, as there was a table in chairs in the room, or if the weather was better, sit outside on the patio.  It was simple, but good quality.  A tray is set up with half a breadstick, a croissant, president butters, jams, and a big dish for your coffee.  There were yoghurts and plenty of fruit to choose from,   More than enough for a filling start to the day.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay, and L'Escale would have had 5/5 if the mattress had been better - it was very tired, giving little support.
Will we be back, yes.

En route stopover, this time.

The only downside for this accommodation is raod noise.  It is close to a busy road and when sitting in the garden or lying by the pool the noise is intrusive.  However, it is well located just short walk into Le Crotoy and the owner is very welcoming and friendly.  We would stay there again if in the area.

EXCELLENT QUALITY FINISH

This B and B (Under the badge of Gites de France) is very well appointed. Large, clean and well furnished room with en suite. Possibility of sitting at table on patio. Ample parking and grass areas. Swimming Pool. Breakfast room kitchen accessable when not otherwise in use.  Friendly hostess and breakfast above the usual French standard.  Unfortunately however it was a night with the earplugs. The extractor in the toilet ran all night with no way of turning it off and very audible even with the door shut.  Much more road noise than might be expected in the country and the agricultural depot next door began moving (and seemingly frequently dropping) large metal containers from 6 a.m. An otherwise very pleasant visit just let down by noise at night.
