My husband and I stayed at this wonderful B&B in L'isle sur la sorgue for 4 nights.  The hosts were very helpful and welcoming. In fact when we weren't certain how to find the place because our gps was not working, the owner Francis, stayed on the phone with me until we arrived .  He was in the middle of a golf game and took the time to help us find his home.
This is a beautiful property with gardens, a pool and lovely rooms.  We stayed in the chambre bleue which had windows that open up to the courtyard and created a nice breeze at night.  The rooms were large and the beds comfortable.  The bathroom had a tub shower and a window as well. The breakfast is simple with tea or coffee, orange juice, a croissant, baguette if desired and jam. Francis would check in with us every morning and evening to see if he could assist us with plans or directions.  He also made reservations for us at a local restaurant which turned out to be our favorite, called "Restaurant Carre Rond".  It is right on the canal in town and was wonderful.  The pool was a welcome addition at the end of a day of visiting the area.  As far as the dogs go, they were not a problem at all.  The doberman was old and hobbled over to see us only when we called to him.  The other dog was friendly as well. L'isle sur la sorgue is a great town and the location of this B&B was perfect.  We could go into town when we wanted, but relax at the B& B if we wanted too.  One night we had stopped at a winery and that night we shared a bottle of fabulous wine out in the courtyard . It was lovely.  In reading the other reviews, the only thing that I can think of is that the person who had so many issues with this place was the type that wouldn't be pleased by anything.  I would encourage all travellers to stay at B&B Buscalts and say hello to Francis and his wonderful wife, Cathy for us.

Great B&B in L'isle sur la sorgue

Having previously been to L'Isle Sur la Sorgue several times, this is a choice we will make again. The location is 5 minutes by car from the center of town.  For the hardy, you can also walk.  It has a nice outdoor space with a pool.  The rooms are charming and a good size. Same for the bathrooms.  The host, Francis, is a charming man who happens to speak fluent English.  Reading the other reviews about the dog, etc., I must say that the dog in question is old and wouldn't hurt anyone or anything. We travel with a dog and they were fine together.  The house dog barks at first but has no bite.  Perhaps it was the guests dog that was the problem. Even though it is on a main road there is little traffic or noise during the night. The only thing it lacked was shampoo and that is a small thing to us.  Breakfast is simple but that's the style of a B&B. We did like the croissants a lot.  In its category this is a very good choice.  We will return.

Quality at a Good Price

This b&b is in a great location for us just on the outskirts of L'Isle Sur La Sorgue. L'Isle Sur la Sorgue is famous for its antiques and waterwheels and has a great market on Sundays. It is a lovely place to visit during the week when it is quieter. The Mas is near to lots of smaller villages in the hills and lots of places that provide activities for all the family - mini golf, canoeing, riding etc. This place worked really well for us. A lovely room. Beautifully decorated, comfortable bed with duvet, lovely bathroom and great outlook. Nice breakfast in the morning. I would recommend definitely recommend this b&b.

A delightful B&B in a great location!

We spent a few nights here as part of a week long stay in Provence.  Rooms were nice enough and well-located but hosts did not seem to be terribly attentive.  Francis was great on the first day but then had commitments elsewhere.  His wife Catherine did not have the same level of interest or level of attentiveness.  Large dogs outside made it difficult for our children to go outside and enjoy the yard and surrounding fields. Breakfasts were "measured" (i.e.   exactly one croissant each and limited amount of coffee). Overall, an OK place but we have stayed in better guesthouses in the area! Not the best value for money by any means.

Average guesthouse in Provence

Stayed one night for a friend's wedding in the area.

Arrived in the afternoon on Saturday to find the place empty with no welcome or written note or anything.
Our room had twin beds instead of a double bed.
The ceiling was a mess of bugs, dead and alive, with big marks of mosquitoes killed by previous guests.
There was no shower gel or shampoo or anything of the sort in the bathroom, just a tired soap.
There was no information at all in the room about check in or check out or breakfast or Wifi or anything really. We did exchange directly with the owner before we arrived to ask for restaurant recommendations and were directed to a very average place where I left half of my 15€ Caesar salad because it just wasn't good.
Anyway, we left the guest house after two hours and still didn't see anyone.

We came back late from the wedding and got to our room very quietly.
We left a handwritten note saying we would sleep until late and would not need a breakfast as we'd follow up directly with the wedding brunch.

The owner banged on our door at 10:00 am sharp on Sunday morning shouting through the door that we had to go because they were expecting guests.
We were frankly puzzled, even astonished. We had expected to sleep until noon but still tried to wake up.
She came back to tell us to hurry up then another time just as we were ready to go at 11:00 to say that we were slow.
We were asked to settle our account and pay the remaining 15€ (for a total of 95€), while the owner said it was a pity that we had no breakfast but that the price remained the same.
Since our brunch would not start until 1h30 later, I asked if there was anything left from the breakfast but she replied "no they ate everything".
We were directed out. At no point the owner suggested we stay in the garden and relax, she clearly wanted to be rid of her guests.

So I strongly recommend you stay away from this place.
